Has anyone signed their kids up for this? On our last trip, DS developed quite a little crush on Alice at 1900 PF - she is the irst real "face" characgter he's talked to and I think he was overwhelmed that this Disney character talked to him about his birthday, asked his name, etc. Since then on a whim I taped the movie off the Disney Channel and he has watched it almost daily.

So....I am going to sign him up for the tea/cupcake party with Alice and friends but wanted any advice/info you all might have. He's a not too shy 4 year old boy. Anyone with experience...does this sound like something he's enjoy?

TIA!!

I believe this is a no parents activity. We were going to do it but I cant not take pictures of everything lol.

My girls have done the Tea Party twice now. They loved it.

It's an hour long. No parents allowed. They will take a picture of your child with Alice and the Mad Hatter for you.

They have sandwiches, 'tea' and they decorate cupcakes. They also play a game or two with Alice and the Mad Hatter.

Can he go without you? Will he be scared alone?

Good luck deciding and planning!

I was reading on Allearsnet.com yesterday about this activity and someone suggested letting your child bringing their own camera in. They CM's took some pics for the children. But I love the pics my kids take with my camera anyway. Its a different perspective and they are really cute usually.

I signed up my daughter yesterday for our May trip and since she's been dying for her very own camera I might have to try out the tip!

My dds have done it three times, and my ds has done it twice. I've got them all signed up for July again. They love the tea party. Ds was 4 the first time he went. He just loves the Mad Hatter! The kids always have a great time. It only lasts for one hour so even a four year old usually can handle being away from Mom for that long. They are kept constantly busy and the hour flies by!

So, I just asked my DS6 what is one thing he wants to do when we go to WDW, and he says "play hide and seek with Alice". Looks like I am making a reservation for this one!!!

When my DD did this, I sent her in with a disposable camera.

Thank you! This sounds just wonderful...!

DS is okay with us not being there...he actually looks forward to it  . I can't get him to grocery shop with me anymore...he has to go to the "tot spot" now that he's been to the sandcastle club...

I love the camera idea! He has his own digital camera that we bought him for his 4th birthday and he loves taking photos. If any of you are thinking about getting your kids cameras - we bought his at Walmart for about $20 and it's made for kids. Very sturdy and he can take as many photos as he wants and it comes with the software to download them.

This is a good thing since the one time he had a disposable all he took were photos of the white tables on the patios of each room outside the Beach Club as we walked past them... :rotfl: At least 18 photos of white plastic side tables!!

I think I'll call soon and book this for him. I asked him this morning if he'd like to go and he was very excited about the idea. DH was less so, until I explained that it wasn't the Pretty Princess Tea

THANKS!!!
