I found a wonderful Alice costume for DD5 at halloweencostumesusa.com after an exhaustive search! I just wanted to post this site in case anyone else is looking for a very pretty Alice costume that appears to be good quality. I spent probably 8-10 hours online searching over 2 days and don't want any one to go through that craziness  ! (Who knew that Alice costumes for adults were such a fantasy item--yuk!) Costume was 39.99 with dress made of taffeta and cotton apron; comes with a giant blue hair bow!

I am hoping to use the dress for a church dress and just have DD's monogram embroidered on the collar! Happy Halloweening! :stir:

I'm not looking for an Alice costume, but for those who are, you forgot to post the site ;)

No, it's up there--www.halloweencostumesusa.com. :) Just minus the www.

Glad you found a pretty (and wholesome) Alice dress!

Sounds like it would be cute for 'real' wear too.

Have to say I was a bit taken aback by THIS outfit though...

I find it completly inappropriate for a young girl. There are enough pervs out there who might take this as an 'invitation'. :sad2:

I have been hunting for a good quality Alice costume for some time - I am in the UK so it has been even trickier. Thanks for your post - the company ship to the UK so I think I will be OK. Can you tell me if you have received the item and if it is as good as it looks

Thanks
Helen

We did receive the dress and wore it to the Wonderland Tea Party last Friday! It is even prettier than I expected and seems to be of good quality. The Alice dresses sold in the Magic Kingdom do not look as much like a real "dress" as this one does--they resemble a costume dress more. The dress itself we got is made of taffeta, but not too shiny and the apron is made of cotton. I do plan to get DD's name embroidered on the collar and let her wear the dress to church. It was well worth the $40.00 US plus 9.95 shipping. The Alice dresses at WDW are $45.00. Hope this helps! :)
