Anyone use this? Saw/read about it on Clark Howard's website. Free delivery, automatic coupons, name brand items. Might give it a whirl, but not sure.

Anyone try it?

I saw you post and just logged in and made an Alice purchase for the first time.

You are normally supposed to have 6 items to check out, but I got a pass since I was new. I bought two things, a roll of paper towels for $.59 with a coupon, and a bottle of 7th Generation Laundry detergent (I have been meaning to try this for a while). I can't imagine this is a sustainable business model for them, because shipping is alway free. My order with tax was less than $10, and they stated it would arrive in 1-2 days. Prices were okay, not great.

I'll let you know how it goes, btw the pricing on some baby things looked really good. I can see how if you were home with a baby or more than one how this could be a good option.

Also I would have loved this when I lived in NYC, there I always felt like I was getting robbed on cleaning & paper products at the grocery.

I checked them out but haven't ordered. Prices were just a bit high for my liking, though with the free delivery, definetely more convenient than running to the store for staples though. Would have been great when the babies were in diapers!

I saw it mentioned in the Shopping Blog on QuickRewards so I checked it out. For the items I buy regularly, I found the prices to be higher than Wal Mart or Target even with the coupons. It's just easier for me to stop on the way home to pick them up in a store with my own coupon to save money.

I stick by my original comments that this is not a sustainable business model due to the high cost of offering free shipping, and all the packaging used to get these products properly shipped.

However I ordered on Friday, they said 1-2 business days. My regular UPS driver dropped the box off this afternoon. They have cute custom boxes.

If I lived in a hard to shop area, I would definitely use this. Depending on your grocery market the prices may not be too bad.

It would also be helpful in college when you do not have a car, who wants to drag laundry detergent and cleaning supplies across campus, possibly in snow?

That's my report, I ordered, they estimated, they made good on their delivery time table. I would consider this a success. :thumbsup2

Is there any way this could be used to have things shipped to Disney for ones vacation?

I had three packages delivered by them last week. My best deal was 12oz. of Dunkin Donuts coffee for 4.71. Nescafe instant coffee on the go packs 6 tubes in the package for .70 cents.

There is a place to get the best deals. From the main screen go to the tab that says other ways to shop. Click on shop the best deals.

Just remember you can only buy one of each item per order. So you can place multiple orders but you have to reach the six items minimum.

Example of one of todays deal Colgate Toothpaste 6.4 oz Paradise Fresh Luminous 93 cents.

Sorry if I rambled I don't normally post. Hope I help someone who has helped me over the years.

This is what I meant in my other post when I said I can get better prices at my local B&M stores even with the Alice automatic coupons. Most of my local Dunkin Donuts shops sell their coffee 2 pounds for $8.99 (not a short-term promotion - been going on for years - no coupons necessary). That means I get 16 ounces of DD coffee for $4.50 where Alice sells 12 ounces for $4.71.

I know it's not a big deal, but I stop there anyway (it's on my way home), and these little amounts add up quickly over time.

I'm glad some of you are finding good deals with Alice. I couldn't find more than 2 things that were less expensive for me.

I just placed an order. It seems like a pretty comparable deal when it comes to some baby products especially when you consider the coupons being offered. I consider it a "luxury" service to an extent because I don't have the hassel of going and getting paper towels at the store they just come to me. We will see if it is worth it when they come. I do wonder how long it will work with the free shipping as well. How long can they keep it up?

Funny that I saw this post today. I've been driving by a building with a sign that said "alice.com" and didn't know what it was - now I do! They're located in the Madison, WI area.

it's pretty tempting to try. I am a compulsive coupon clipper so it would be hard to spend a few extra cents on these basics!

I was thinking in the long run it might save me because I go to the store for TP or cat food and leave with $100 worth of who knows what!!

also - why Alice?? Like the Brady Bunch? hmmm I will have to investigate:surfweb:
