Except for the way they changed Irina's character from ambigious to really evil, I thought they wrapped everything up nicely. I still don't think Jack had to die.
Because after Syd shot him he fell into the Rambaldi juice and that brought him back and made him immortal. That's why Jack blew himself up to trap Sloane in there forever, since he could no longer just kill him.
She wanted to destroy the cities and then capitalize on the rebuilding efforts.
It was the ball that contained the Rambaldi juice, which would make someone immortal. Rambaldi's big secret was eternal life.

Here are two possible explanations I borrowed from posters at TwoP-
First was made by a poster named Dawnie_Faith-
kay, so I'm totally stretching here, but... what if Irina was the Chosen One, who would render the greatest power into utter desolation by launching those missiles at DC & London, and Sydney (et al), by stopping her, proved that free will wins over fate?
Sydney (and her allies) destroyed the tomb, and presumably disposed of the Horizon, thus eliminating the possibility of eternal life. The ability to conquer death is the greatest power, and now it is gone.
ITA with you about SpyDaddy, I was so sad that he died. I kept saying they can't, no they won't.....and then when he died to protect Sydney from Sloane once and for all, I cried.

Thanks for explaining that. I thought that Sloane was dead talking to Anna then Jack showed up because he had died outside too. When he blew them up I wondered how a spirit could be trapped. I enjoyed the final show anyway...but that does help a bit.

I was kind of wonder what was up with that too. That last scene with both of them was a little much. Honey (thrash, punch) I really love you (jab, kick, choke) Remember that (slam into the wall). I wonder how many takes they had to do to not laugh.
I liked it - I liked how they wrapped things up and Syd and Vaughn got to live happily ever after. I also liked the ending with Slone. He got his wish, eternal life, but he'll spend eternity trapped, alone in a tomb. I was sad about Jack's death but was happy that he died protecting Sydney, on his own terms, rather than just being killed by evil Slone.
I was a little surprrised with Irina. Even though she was always evil, I always believeed that she loved Sydney.
I liked Isabelle doing the puzzle at the end. I also liked that Sark was made not SO evil and was still in business.
I don't get why Tom killed himself. I understood the plot point, guilt over his wifes death, etc but who really cared about his a Rachel's budding relationship. I didn't feel that was a loose end that needed to be tied up.
I can see them doing a movie in a few years like they did Serenity for Firefly.
My favorite part of last night's finale was when they showed the flashback and brought back Francie!! I loved that banter she had with Syd the first season...I wish they had a flashback with Will in it too, although I did get my Will fix a couple of weeks ago.
I also like Marshall's wife's scenes...I always liked her character too.
The lesser characters really made that show, Marshall, Francie, Will, Weiss (I wish he was in the finale too!) and I'm glad they brought back some of them.
