I was reading a post about the fall schedule for ABC, and to my immense happiness, I noticed that "Alias" has been renewed for another season! Am I the only one out there who is absolutely in love with this show? DF accuses me of lusting after Vaughn, which I completely deny, but after seeing his tongue wag during some of Sydney's more scantily-clad scenes, I hardly think some innocent Vaughn-adoration is out of line! ;-)

Just curious if other DIS members share the same affection? And has anyone, after two whole seasons, managed to figure out the intricate plot lines? I've seen every single episode, and I'm still half clueless about the backstory, especially the whole Rambaldi thing. But the whole girl-kicking-major-bad-guy-booty definitely keeps me coming back for more!

DD and I love the show. The weekend isn't complete without seeing Alias. We really hated the finale - maybe it's just a bad dream. DH doesn't mind watching either. Vaughn is quite a hunk and my DH knows how I feel but that's OK since he's hooked on Sidney! He was quite happy when she was seducing the guy on the airplane.

DH & I have a "date" every Sunday night to watch "Alias" together. We think the Rambaldi device was some kind of time machine and that's why it's suddenly two years later. Can't wait for the new season!:bounce:

I'm with you about the finale ... Still not sure how I feel about that one. Vaughn is definitely "dreamy" ... He can interrogate me any time! ;-)

Now here's the loaded question -- how do you feel about Vaughn and Sydney finally hooking up? I was all for it, but then after an episode or two it seemed like it killed the romantic suspense of the series way too quickly. I suppose the finale was a way of trying to get back to whole "destined to be together, doomed to be without each-other" theme. We'll see in the fall!

I love this show!!! I had to tape the season finale because I was out of town and I screwed up and only taped the first hour. I had to look online for the synopsis and now I am kind of glad I missed it. I would have been PO'd! I'll have to catch the rerun this summer.

Seems like I read somewhere that Season One of "Alias" will be available on DVD this fall. I can't wait! While watching each episode back-to-back will probably cause a nasty case of brain-drain, reliving the whole Sydney-Vaugn-Will triangle in all of it's tangled up, confusing, yet ultimately brilliant glory, will definitely be worth it! ;-)

Alias is the best show on TV. Although I enjoy "24" also, I find Alias a little more realistic, lol. (That's a tough call, I know!) After the season finale though, I may need to change my mind about it being more realistic.

Great show! If I could only watch 1 hour of TV each week, I'd watch Alias.

DS and I love Alias. For some reason DH can't get into it.
DS and I've had several speculation as to the cliffhanger. Personally I think it is an illusion being used to extract info out of her.

My heart dropped to my knees when Syd saw the wedding ring on Vaughn's finger. How sad! You may be right about the illusion theory, Sha_lyn ... One thing's for sure, it definitely kept me hooked in anticipation for next season!

On a different note though, does anyone think that Will and Syd will ever have another near-hookup moment again? That corner of the triangle still isn't complete, and I'm pretty sure they alluded to the fact that Will wasn't killed off in the fight between Francie-clone and Sydney. Oooh, September better get here quickly, I'm dying to find out!

I think Sid and Will will get together either way, if this is an illusion or if it really is the future. If it's an illusion, I think the "faked" relatinship with Will will cause a lot of tension between Sid and Vaughn. There's been some speculation on the DIS as to why her dad wasn't the one to go to her. Personally I think it is park of the illusion. They couldn't get his DNA to change someone to look like him, or they decided that telling her he was dead or MIA would give more control over her.

Whooo! The conspiracy theories abound! I like that way of thinking, very sneaky. Great to see ABC and the folks behind "Alias" taking some real chances. The only complaint I have is that the show is very inaccessible to new viewers. I've seen every episode since the beginning, but DF only began watching with me during Season Two, and he's still pretty confused. ;-)

I think Sydney's real father is Sloane. Sloane and Syd's mother look awfully cozy sometimes. ???

Ewwww! Sydney being spawned from a night of "passion" involving Sloane??!! Excuse me while I lose my lunch. ;-)

DH and I have thought this since last season! Sloane often talks about how much he cares for Sydney.
