Alfredo's?

My DH and I really enjoyed eating at Alfredo's. Yeah, it was crowded, but the food was quite good. I am not a fan of fettuccini (sp?) alfredo, but I loved it there! We also really enjoyed the cannoli for dessert.

Regarding the napkin swinging -- the accordian player and waiters all sing an Italian song while everyone in the restaurant waves their napkins around. We thought it was a blast!

We would definitely go back.

People swing their napkins in the air .. and getting hit in the head by a person's dirty napkin is not my idea of a good dining experience.

You are no fun. You should look at it as a way to try items you did not order on the menu.

We are also Italian American and of course we do alot of Italian cooking which makes us very fussy about ordering Italian when we're out. We are very particular about the Italian resturants we go to. We love Alfredo's and have dinner there just about every time we are at WDW. I always get the Fettuccini Alfredo, it is absolutely delicious. Dh has had many different things there and has never been disappointed with anything he has had. We also enjoy eating at Mama Melrose and Portabella Yacht Club. They all have a little different style of Italian cooking and we like them all.

We were there this past July 4th and loved. It was 2:00 in the afternoon, so it wasn't crowded at all.

I tried the sampler platter and the Dumplins (not exactly sure what was in them) were wonderful. I am a very picky eater.

From what I have read of other reviews, it seems true Italians love this place. There are normally the people that don't like Olive Garden, which we do not care for, but being in a small town, we don't get much of a choice if we want Italian.

We have only eaten there once and will never go back. While the waiters are indeed nice to look at we found them to be a bit on the arrogant side. The food.. well to us (DH is Italian so we eat ALOT of Italian food) the sauce tasted exactly like they just opened a can of Chef Boyardee.

We were very disappointed.

Being part Italian myself. This is a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?

Gone 3 times. First by choice, the other two kicking and screaming.

You are sometimes literally closer to the person at the next table than the one across from you.

The food I had went from unremarkable to icky. I swear that Olive Garden is better...close to Disney property, and cheaper.

My problem with Alfredo's: the food is good -- sometimes excellent, sometimes less so -- but every city and town in the U.S. has a decent Italian restaurant. Wouldn't you want to try something different? Moreover, stomping around Epcot in that heat with a bellyful of pasta is not my idea of a good time.
