My DH and I haven't been to this since our honeymoon 20 years ago. My DS-16 and DD-14 are not creamy Italian lovers--they go more for the red saucy versions.
Is there any hope for us regarding the menu? What's on it?

We look to add a few new spots to eat each trip, and I am on the fence with this one....
thanks.

Looks like the lunch menu has more 'red sauce' options. When we were there last year I got the three pasta sampler minus the alfredo with more of the other two. The lasagna is very good but the third pasta they were offering then was NOT the gnocchi but rather a rigatoni with some kind of red sauce that was excellent!

Perhaps you can just ask for something that you like to be made up special. I believe pomodoro is a kind of red sauce as well as bolognese. There's quite a few good choices on the lunch menu, cheaper too! The caesar salad is very good as well. The kid's menu also has regular spaghetti and meatballs.

We love this place! Enjoy!!

Honestly, I would not currently recommend Alfredo's. We just ate there in Sept '03. My family jokes that it was on par with Noodle-Roni (yes, the boxed stuff!). It cost us well over $100 for a lunch for 4 and it was one of the worst meals we had. It was, by far, the biggest disappointment. Hubby and I ate there on our honeymoon in '88 and we were so looking forward to going back. Never again...

I would go to Le Cellier or Yachtman Steakhouse for an anniversary meal. Or maybe one of the restaurants in France... Yummy!

Have fun... :-)

I agree. We ate there in July and it was by far the worst meal that we had all week.

We have been to WDW many, many time but have NOT tried Alfredos. Our next trip is around the corner and we plan to finally visit Alfredos for lunch. Now I am reading more bad reviews. I may just change my mind and skip Alfedos again! My family does love italian food. We are going to try Palios at the Swan for the first time too. I have never heard a bad review for Palios! Should we cancel our PS for Alfredo's?

We have been eating at 'Fredo's since Epcot opened. In dozens of trips I think we've only skipped it once. The signature dish of Fettucini Alfredo is our favorite, but of course that is a creamy dish. I enjoyed the lasagne. It is made with veal and is very rich.

Definitely do not cancel your ressies at Palio....It is one of the finest Italian restaurants my family has ever eaten at...I think you will love it. We are usually picky when we travel as we live in NY and have access to some of the best restaurants in the world. Don't miss Palio!

As far as Alfredo's, we dined there are found it to be adequate.....not nearly on par with many other WS restaurants. I knew going in that the reviews were not usually favorable, but I had to fufill my goal of eating in every restaurant in the WS.

Manga!
