Alfredo's - fettuccine alfredo

I have seen this topic many, many times. I finally ate the fettuccine alfredo on Friday. I am surprised that no one ever mentioned the swiss cheese taste.

I love swiss cheese so I loved it but my dh dislikes swiss and he couldn't even eat it.

Does fettuccine alfredo usually have swiss cheese or is it another cheese that is similar?

I am glad I ate here once, but I don't think I would return.

The Alfredo is made with Real, Fresh parmesan cheese and butter and a bit of cream...no swiss!
I do know what you mean though. Swiss is a sharp cheese and so is this dish. You just have to know it is not what most expect to be "Alfredo"
I loved it...so fresh...and authentic. My son, who likes the Lipton Noodles and sauce Alfredo did not like it...lol...he was so disappointed.
I was warned so I knew what to expect.
