I just saw Alexa Ray Joel sing on our local FOX morning show. She's the daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley. What a doll! She has a nice sound, and appears very confident. She looks nothing at all like her mother, she'd definitely Billy Joel's daughter! It's nice to see the child of famous parents grown up so well. I've never heard anything bad about her.

I'm glad to see that she hasn't had a "nose job", seeming perfectly happy with herself. She's even sort of large-hipped, and I know other famous young ladies would have had surgery to get rid of the excess. She's a great roll model for girls to be happy in their own skin, and I'm proud of her even though I don't personally know her!

I don't think you're being nasty. Her looks are her looks. I was just impressed by how lovely she presented herself on tv. With all her money, she could basically have plastic surgery to look any way she wants, but she didn't. I love that.

How....I don't know....ironic is it that her mother is possibly the most well known and successful model of all time and she ends up being the spitting image of her father? Growing up like that, she had better be secure in the way she looks and/or have a great sense of humor.

From what I've read about Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel over the years, they've been good parents and probably instilled in Alexa a great sense of self-esteem. But I know what you mean. Especially for a girl, you'd think she'd feel sorry for herself that she doesn't look anything like her mom, even in height.

They do look exactly alike. She is even tiny like Billy.

So funny, we have kids and at times it does not even look like the Mom played a role (like here). I have dark hair, dark eyes...DH is blond, blue eyes and DS is sooooo blond, so fair and bright blue eyes....I got asked many times when he was little..."Are you the Aunt"?

My dd (Alexa LOL) found her CD at Target about 6 months ago, so we bought it. She really is quite good. I think she seems wonderfully well adjusted,normal and happy! I agree, she has gorgeous eyes!
