I haven't got an exact picture of my jewellery but it is the same as this only in silver:

There is a lot of detail on my dress, both on the bodice and the skirt, so I thought this would be perfect. The dress is brilliant white and the detail in silver and crystal.

I haven't picked my tiara yet as the bridal shop is giving me one free, but I think I will go for something a little bit 'blingier' to balance the dress.

I'm having hair extensions to my mid back and broken curls so will need something to balance that too.

Thanks everyone, glad you like the jewellery. It does look much better in silver.

If I can afford it I will have a trial run with the hair extensions and see how I get on. I can also decide then if I want straight or curls. I want my hair foil highlighted so it is really blonde and then get the extensions to match, but that all comes in pretty pricey for a trial run.

I might just have to take the plunge and have the whole lot done a couple of weeks before the wedding. I'll probably look like Shirley Temple!

I ordered my veil yesterday from the States so I hope it's ok. If it's not I can always get another one as this one was very resonable. I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives

There is no way I am paying £100 ($200) for a bit of netting!

Hello Beep!

It's my first time on the boards (i have posted a thread for advice on an Escape package) and i am in the UK too (Essex) so i would really like to chat some more with you, if you wouldnt mind?

My fiance and i are looking at having a disney wedding in 2010 (havent decided on the date yet), are thinking now of having it in May 2010 as then i can have my 30th birthday out in florida too!

We really want to have our ceremony at the wedding pavillion at 2:30pm, ive heard the cake cutting ceremony and pics take place after that at GF and so we would like to hire the upper terrace of the UK in epcot for our evening reception and then also watch the Illuminations fireworks.

We have 15 guests including us, which are all family.

And i also have my heart set on a Maggie Sottero gown! not sure which one yet and cant try anything on until next year (which gives me time to lose some weight as i am also a UK16) but i do have a shortlist so that's something.

Anyway would love to chat some more if you wouldnt mind?

I have decided to do the same. We get married on 1st october 2008 and i am 30 on 5th october 2008. For some reason i wanted to be married before i was 30

Well, the good news is that we have enough money put away for the Escape wedding, flights and first 9 nights of accommodation! YAY!! Oh, and my dress steaming!

The bad news is that Tim's contract came to an end and he hasn't worked for three weeks. He is waiting to hear back about an interview he had yesterday so fingers crossed. He has promised that we won't need to dip into 'Mickey's Money' as the wedding fund is known.

The other good news is that my dress is on order and is due in in August/September. BIGGER YAY!! It is also known as 'The Cooker' because I used the money we'd saved for that towards my dress. I told the bridal shop advisor that I was wearing our new cooker, and when I called yesterday to check everything was ok she remembered and said the cooker was on order!

The other good news is that my veil arrived yesterday and it is gorgeous. It is mid arm/elbow length with Swarovski crystals dotted on it, edged in very fine satting ribbon and an illusion glimmer tulle. It looks like a normal veil but it glows in the sun or under a flash. The even better news it it cost me the grand total of $18 from ebay - the bridal shop were trying to get me to buy one that was over $220 and it is nowhere as nice as my cheap one

Great news on the saving front. I think so far we've saved enough for the Escape Package and half ish of the holiday costs. We are saving for a new house at the same time but we've worked out we will have enough money even if our parents don't give us any and I know they will.

congrats on the saving, i lost my contract role 4 weeks ago so we have been stressing over money as we are paying for a wishes wedding by ourselves. I am lucky and got a new role this week and start monday so I'm pleased about that but yesterday our laptop broke with all our wedding details on it and we didnt back it up!

Thank you, I'm sure he will get something soon. I'm so pleased with the money we have saved. I've got a spreadsheet with everything on it including a page with savings are I've got the 'where we should be' which is the money I worked out for the budget and 'where we are' which is what we actually have put away and we are over £1600 ($3200 ish) ahead! That is thanks to my bonus from work and £1000 from my Nan when she died - bless her.

Glad you got a new role Sarah, but OH NO to the laptop. Nightmare!

Tim is looking for a permanent position (he was a temp for 9 years so when the contract came to an end there was nothing money-wise) and at least this way he will get decent holidays with pay, sick pay etc. He's not a bad old thing so I'm sure he will get something soon. At least I get a house-husband which is great, although that Dyson seems to still be a big mystery to him

YAY!! Had a call from the Bridal shop and my dress is in! I ordered it in January this year so it took 6 months - they did tell me a little while back that there was a delay and it could be up to 9 months.
