Alex and Ani DVC bracelet tarnished?

I hadn't worn my Alex and Ani DVC bracelet in awhile. I had it in the original plastic bag that it came in on my dresser. I enjoyed wearing it, thought it was cute. Looked at it just now and it is HORRIBLE :mad:looking, tarnished. Very strange! Firstly, anyone else experience this and secondly do you think Disney might replace it? Just wondering, looks awful enough if not replaced I will just throw it away. Never saw something like this. Thanks in advance!
 
I don’t think dish soap will help with tarnish.

I usually boil one tbsp of baking soda & a 5x5” square piece of aluminum foil in about 4-5 cups of water. Once it’s boiling, drop the bracelet in (you should hear it fizzing), wait 10 seconds or so, and remove it with tongs. The tarnish should be gone instantly.

I bought a few A&A bracelets in WDW this past Oct. The cashier mentioned that I should keep the receipt, as they have had a few discolor, and will replace them with a receipt. Did you happen to keep the receipt?

Some of mine went very quickly - bought in the Flagship store in Rhode Island so definitively not copies. Mine are only worn occasionally for 8 - 10 hour day - never in the water or shower.

Many times they will replace them - because they are so prone to tarnish.

Unfortunately, did not keep the receipt. I have never worn it in the water or shower. Guess that I am "lucky", never had a piece of jewelry tarnish like this!:sad2:

They're not well made. Try to exchange it - look for a shop in a high end location
 
THANKS VERY MUCH for all your responses. PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, superb customer service at Disney Store. Called Disney Vacation Club first, suggested I call Customer Service at Disney Store. Called the Disney Store and they were able to locate my original order by phone number and e mail. I think it helped because I saved the little bag it came in with a SKU number and gave them that information. I told them how badly the bracelet is tarnished, never wore it in the water, or ever showered with it. They offered to replace it no charge, no shipping!
