Staying at Yacht Club and I figured I utilize all it has to offer. I look at the menu for Ale & Compass Restaurant and it was OK but since we at the back door to Epcot, there are many places to we can go such as Restaurant Marrakesh.

What to you think of Ale & Compass Restaurant?
How's the food?
Is the
Coastal Clambake included? It's $40 and sometimes more expensive are excluded and that is one of the items interested.

Would you go to Restaurant Marrakesh instead?

Any other 1 TS credit suggestions?

We have not eaten there yet and it seems to be getting mixed reviews. But I am a big believer in trying new things (especially if your staying near). You might youtube some video reviews and maybe try something on their menu.

I would try it and plan to.
I don't like Restaurant Marrakesh

I would try it. We are trying it on our next trip. You never know. What one person hates, another loves. In my experience, even within our own family, there are strong differences in likes and dislikes for restaurants.

We have eaten a both. The food at Ale and Compass was good, I'm not sure about the crab cake question. We were there the week before the Christmas and it was crowded, our ADRs were around 7:30 so not real late. I say that to say our service was bad, it's only the second time in over 30 years of going to WDW that we left less than a 20% tip. My family has been in the restaurant business my entire life so I'm familiar with the ins and outs and bad service is just not something we tolerate. We had to wait between every course, not because the food wasn't done but because our server just wasn't paying attention. We even had to send someone to find her so we could actually get our check to pay it and they couldn't find her. No excuse. Like I said the food was o.k. I had corned beef and cabbage and only had one little leaf of cabbage hiding but it was good and there is a lot of it. We would probably try it again sometime in the future but we try not to repeat places that often.

Marrakesh we love, I'm a huge fan of Moroccon food, we love the belly dancer at night and the service has always been excellent. It's not for everyone, the food can be very heavy and if you aren't used to it a bit different. We tend to go to Spice Road Tables more now just because you can walk up to it without ADRs and we like to share the small plates since we don't usually eat the big heavy meals but we do enjoy Marrakesh when we eat there.

If I had to choose between the two I'd do Marrakesh but like someone else said, I believe in trying it all and not taking other's opinions too much to heart since everyone has a different experience.

We ate at Ale & Compass in December. DH and I enjoyed our meals but weren't big fans of the new menu- not a lot appealed to us. I liked the relaxed atmosphere of Captain's Grill much better. They've made the Ale & Compass more upscale in decor and menu which is nice but we missed the old Captain's Grill- especially the breakfast buffet!

We recently returned and ate at both Ale & Compass and Marrakesh. We'll go back to Marrakesh, but probably not Ale & Compass. Dinner was ok and as another poster mentioned they seemed to going for a high-end vibe. I'm not sure why since the Yachtsman is hard to beat. The best thing we had at A&C was the lobster chowder.
