I’m worried I’m cutting it close on timing - is Ale and Compass a quick breakfast? We have a 8:30 am VIP tour in Hollywood studios - can we eat in half an hour and walk over and clear security in half an hour as well?

It will be a very rushed breakfast (it's table service/buffet)! And it would depend if you are doing the buffet or ordering off the menu. Figure about 10 minutes to get from the BC to Epcot and thru security (lots of people there for early entry). I would either make your reservation for breakfast earlier or just do grab and go.

I think probably just ordering. We have a 7:30am Ale and Compass reservation which seems to be the earliest you can get.

ugh. I dont' understand why they don't have 7am sit down breakfasts anymore. The quick service options are... limited.

I usually mobile order from A&C and honestly I usually end up waiting a pretty long time for them to make the food just to go...I feel like when I walk over from BC from time I order to pick up to getting back to my room is usually a solid 25 minutes or half hour. And if I was paying for a VIP tour?? Oh man I'd be there extra early to take advantage! I would figure I'd eat along the way or have the guide grab us something quick. But have fun either way!

That is cutting it close. I agree, with early entry an opening time of 7am would be helpful!

Hmm.. are there maybe some different quick service options to go to on the way over? Like maybe we could walk to Swan/Dolphin and grab something there?

I assume you're staying at YC/BC? Me personally I would mobile order from A snd C. Eat it in room or outdoors or on the go? I like the food there a lot especially the eggs benedict and the chocolate waffles!

We're staying at YC. I think A&C opens at 7:30 though. Can I mobile order from there before then? Or am I stuck with the A&C market?

Fuel at the Swan/Dolphin opens at 6am, but they only had coffee and bakery items last time I was there (admittedly a while ago, so hours could have changed). Picabu there opens at 7am, and they have a few hot options. I think the food options at S/D are pretty solid in general.

No. To be seated, order breakfast, and get it will probably take 30 minutes, never mind eating it. From A&C, I would expect at least a 25-30 minute walk to the HS front entrance, then time to get through security, and then time to get to the meeting place.

If I want even a quick sit-down meal and then get somewhere IN a park, I always plan to leave my room 2 hours before I want to be at that point in the park. If I was only allocating 1 hour, I'd be getting grab-and-go and drinking my coffee and eating my food while I'm walking there. And maybe you'd make it just in time.

Huh. We have never remotely had to allocate 2 hours for leaving to get to the park. We're also 2 relatively fit 40 somethings + a 9 and a 12 year old, so no small children, no mobility issues.

But... I think you're right that half an hour to be served and eat breakfast might be cutting it close. Was kinda hoping someone would tell me A&C was lightning fast at bringing out meals but it seems like that might not be the case.

Yeah no. I adore breakfast but in this particular case I would be so anxious about the timing even if it DID work out that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. Or you'll be scarfing it down so fast you'll feel ill lol.

I never use the word scarfing but from one 40 something to another I guess it works!

I agree, I would be eating so fast,I wouldn’t taste the food. You’re paying a boatload for the vip tour, I’d eat a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast before I’d take a chance of being late for tour.

If your plans involves going on ratatouille, could you go on ride and CM goes to the bakery for something for you? Don’t know if they can do that.

I’m not sure we’ve never done one! But yeah. Guess I need to cancel breakfast or move it to another day. I was hoping not having to worry about rope drop would buy us some time, but I also want to make the most of our tour before afternoon thunderstorms hit.

I’d get some bakery items the night before so you can get to HS without rushing. I don’t know of any TS place at Disney where you can order and eat in 30 min and get to a park. It’s at least a 15-20 walk from YC and security could take a few minutes, especially if you get pulled off to the side. Not to mention get through the gates. Stresses me out just thinking about it😂

Yeah - I think, as per usual I've ruined most of my breakfast bookings by choosing morning rides over breakfast. Just did my fast passes for the rest of the week and I think I'm cancelling several other breakfasts.

I would not want to stress or rush a TS/sit down meal. If I had to be somewhere and felt time was tight, I would skip the sit down and go for a quick bite//grab and go/counter service.

Have fun!
