ALDI American food in store today

Not sure on aldi foods but their austin drink is as good as Pimms at a third of the price

The Blueberry pancake syrup is the best i've found in the UK.

They also stock a good selection of award winning wines at very reasonable prices

Ive had the BBQ marshmallows and DD's looooove them as they go all squishy when toasted on the BBQ, even resorted to "toasting" them over the gas ring on the cooker!!:thumbsup2

I think Aldi is the European equivalent of Walmart (at least for groceries) and things are cheap because they stock stores all over Europe. I've never had a bad experience with their quality (it's not M&S but then you pay much more for that) and even DH who is very particular is perfectly happy eating their food :goodvibes

Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can swing by :thumbsup2

Picked up 18 bottles of Sam Adams, said to my mum 'only gonna drink it on special occasions'...her response....'it will be gone by Sunday then!'....Cheeeky git!!!:rotfl:

Will pop round there tomorrow and get some stuff, thanks for the tip! I love Aldi, we have one near us in Walton on Thames and its brilliant, most stuff we've tried has been awesome and we're saving at least 30%.

BTW, their Venezia Pinot Grigio is yummy and only £3.99! In case you run out of the Samuel Adams ;)

Aldi and lidl food is of better quality than british food, they are limited by german law, and therefore cant add the colourants/flavourings/preservatives that british manufacturers can.
i have never found anything that was "bad" except for bfast cereals, but im a snob and have to have kelloggs:confused3

Well I popped in and purchased, pyramid crisps, hot dogs, brownies, pancakes, pretzels, tomoto/mayo tube (comes out together), cinnamon crisps :cool1:

Could not find the lemon pie mix :confused3 that's all I really went in for, got major lemon craving.

That pretty much sounds like heaven in sauce form ;)

Aldi's here I come.....!

Having never step foot in Aldi's before, boyfriend fancied some Sam Adam's so we popped in yesterday. Ended up buying the Sam Adam's, pancakes, brownies, marshmallows (need to have another BBQ!), the pretzels and the popcorn :scared1: Ohhh and some Hershey's chocolate bars  (I personally HATE Cadbury's Dairy Milk and prefer Hershey's chocolate to most of our stuff!) Ended up going a little mad but only ended up at £14 and that was with 4 bottles of Sam Adam's so a tenner for the rest of the stuff wasn't bad :thumbsup2

Me and Ian tried to be restrained but still bought loads... Blueberry syrup, pancake mix, various Reeses candies, BBQ crisps, cinnamon crisp cereal, 3 packs of the sourdough rolls and probably more i'm forgetting :)
