I know alcoholic beverages aren't part of the Free Dining menu choices, but can you order them anyway and get a regular check to pay for them? DH and I aren't big drinkers but looking at some of the menus, there are some specialty and/or frozen concoctions that I know we'll want to try! Just wondering how that works when you are otherwise doing Free Dining.

TIA!

They give you a separate check for anything you order that is not included in the dining plan.

They give you a seperate check. There is nothing to worry about. We ordered drinks last year and we were on the Dining plan and it never caused a problem. I can't wait to try the drinks in Primetime Cafe. They sound so yummy! :goodvibes

Not only will they give you a separate check for alcoholic drinks, but let's not forget the kids and order them something special even if it's not on free dining.

If you have the DDE, you can use it for your discount on any alcholic beverages or other items not covered by the DDP (participating restaurants only, of course.)

I've already anticipated the Glow Cubes that come in some kids' drinks!! Not on the Free Dining plan, but you can bet my DSs will want one! We're having a lunch at Sci-Fi and I've read about a cup or a dessert plate that glows in the dark....May as well add that to my list right now! :p

I agree.

just a word a warning from someone that this happened to. Disney will add 18% tip on your drink tap, I didn't know this, I added an extra tip to our check. A beer draught and a frozen margarita :drinking1 cost us about $22.00. So just remember that for your own FYI. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Thanks for the FYI on the tip! I like to tip well but not overly.
