Never been on DCL. Other cruises we would buy an import bucket
Roughly 30.00 for 6 imported beers. Whats Dcl like?

There is a scanned drink menu in the DCL FAQ thread at the top of the forum. Not sure if it lists bucket prices but you can get a good idea of what other drinks cost onboard. I find the prices very reasonable. I have been in onshore bars where drinks were much more.

Sorry most folks felt that telling you to look yourself somewhere else was the only answer. Funny how they took the time to tell you to look yourself. Maybe no response would have been best.

Looks like TitanBrett's cost on Castaway Cay is about the cost onboard as well. Premium beers, or larger domestic beers are about $26.

I only posted what I did in case they didn't know that they could get that information (and better than I could give) at a different place.

Thank you very much. I was just curious to see if it was worth carrying on board instead. Might just bring a 12 for my husband for the room. Im going to bring a large fillable soda cup for me! :)

Just 2 comments here,

Be sure that you carry on the drinks you bring along.

When you fill your own cup at the drink station, you must use their cup to dispense the drink and then pour it into your own cup.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. :goodvibes

This board is about the exchange of info and there is nothing wrong with directing people where they CAN find the info. Do we all know the prices of drinks offhand...I don't, so I directed them to where they could find them. Not sure why you view that as an issue.

Others have directed them to find the info at the DCL site...nothing wrong with that either. Better to know additional resources for future reference. Don't see how no response would be helpful at all.

I just think that some questions are just best answered directly, for the ease of the original poster, and those that search later.

Really, I know it gets tiresome reading the same questions over and over again, but isn't it easier and nicer to just answer the question first, and then offer assistance on how to find answers after?

A LOT of people here have not much more to do than answer questions. From their high post count, they've probably been doing it for years. IMHO, let them answer the question directly...

Also to the original poster, it is probably harder carrying on beer and trying to keep it cold (no refrigerator), than it is to buy beer. I do plan on bringing some rum and vodka and mixers to make in my room, as well as a couple of bottles of wine, but beer (which I usually drink more of), seems more trouble than it's worth.

Yes, agreed....but if one does not know the exact answer there is nothing wrong with pointing them to where they can find it. I know a ton about DCL but I admit I learn something new everyday and I do not know everything....I do not know all the price of the drinks so directing someone to where they can find the actual drink menu is helpful, IMO.

Thanks!!!

I personally would be drinking mixers, etc... So bringing on a bottle of rasp vodka will work, hehe maybe even watermelon. It's my hubbie that drinks NOT alot of beer, but a handful, esp on vacation. And being with other men that also drink, I figured it was less expensive carrying on.

As for why I asked, is I was just curious the PRICE of a bucket, as last May on our Bermuda cruise, it was $30.00/6 in a take home bucket, like I said in my original post. I was just trying to see how much $$ beer would cost me.

It wasn't meant to start an argument or tension here. ;)

Figured if someone had just come back I could budget myself better knowing the costs! :thumbsup2
