Alcohol in fish extenders? Is this still ok with new policy?

I'm sure this has been talked about a few times but I seem to have missed it and I got tired looking so I thought I'd just ask this question again...

I was thinking to do mini alcohol bottles with chocolate gold coins as an adult FE gift. Can I still do this with the new alcohol policy...anyone know.

Thanks.

While your question of min alcohol bottles for FE isn't specifically addressed in the new alcohol policy, the policy essentially does not support any option to bring those mini bottles on board. The new policy states:

Effective for cruises embarking on or after September 30, 2015, Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call.

Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $25.00 per bottle.

Please note:

  • These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage.
  • Any alcohol packed in checked luggage will be removed and stored until the end of the cruise.
  • Any wine or champagne in excess of 2 bottles or beer in excess of 6 beers will be stored until the end of the cruise.
  • Bringing liquors and spirits (including powdered alcohol) on board is prohibited. These items will be stored until the end of the cruise.
  • Guest MUST retrieve any stored alcohol at the end of the cruise. Items not retrieved will be destroyed and no compensation will be offered.
  • Alcohol brought on board may not be consumed in any lounge or public area.
Please note that the Disney Cruise Line alcohol policy is subject to change without notice.

Enjoy your cruise!

Since they are pretty clear that it is either 2 bottles of wine per person OR a six pack of beer I am pretty sure the answer would be no. Some people report they have gotten away with bringing some airline bottles onboard but DCL has stated that they will confiscate any liquor above and beyond their allowed amount of beer/wine.

How about liqueur filled chocolates?

Unless you told them, it would just look like chocolate to anyone. Isn't the actual amount of alcohol ridiculously small anyways, or is it a bad idea for kids to eat them?

Now if you could do a 'hollow bodied' chocolate bottle of bourbon now that might be interesting;)

I was suggesting it as an alternative for FE not as a way to ingest any appreciable amount of alcohol.

The ones I've seen have been bottle shaped albeit teeny tiny bottles. Still probably not a good idea for kids though.
