I've done 3 cruises out of PC...I'm a get there around 10:45-11am type person at PC....so what is a good time to get to the port in Vancouver? I know its setup different and we've already looked, we will have another ship in port with us so I believe it will be a little more crazy than normal? Is that right.....can someone help walk me through the port in Vancouver? I don't mind waiting about 30ish min in the port after checkin but my 7yo can't wait much longer than that. :)

Thanks in advance!!!!

Vancouver is totally different. You can walk around outside and watch the ships unloading and loading. If I remember correctly, the area is called "Canada Place" or something like that. It is really nice.

The actual port / check in is different, also. You have to go through customs, but it is not bad. We stayed in the motel across from the port. We walked across the street to the port when it was time.

Coming back is different, also. You go through customs twice when you get back (Canada and USA). There is no "participating airlines" and DCL does not do any of the airline check-ins like they do in PC. (I was very disappointed about this one).

We got there at I think the 10 am check in time. We stayed at the hotel on top of port.. I think our last cruise we started boarding at 12 on the ship

Thanks everyone! We have a port arrival time of 11 so I hope if I get there at like 10:45 then I'm hoping that we can check in, pic with Mickey/Minnie and board ship by lunch. :)
