Alaska on July 19th, 2011 "Where a good tan is hard to find"

Folks,

Just a thought...any donation would be welcome, I'm sure. I wasn't suggesting it as an alternative to FE gifts...really that was just what started me thinking. I just figured that the FE group was a good "target audience" for the concept.

I was furthering thinking that Schachteles' organizational skills might be a natural overlay -- i.e., that who ever wanted to participate in the donation would put a check or a $ 10 bill in an envelope and slide it under Schachtels' door when doing an FE drop there. Then, at the end of the cruise, we could send it in to the podcast crew with a cover letter.

Just thinking out loud.

An alternative to the under the door thing, would be to do a collection when/if we have a meet.

Speaking of which....who's organizing that??

Is that enough time? I have never done a meet before.

It's just a chance to put faces to names. After that, we'll see each other all over the ship. For a big ship...it's surprising how much you run into the same people over and over again, no matter how much you try to avoid them (hi Robin :wave2:).

Hi All!

6 to 8 PM huh? OK, I'm in. What do I need to do?

Tisza

Go to our Facebook page. Usually a chat tab will automatically open up, if not click "Chat with Group" on the right side of the screen.

The "Disney Wonder..." tab will show thumbnail pics of everyone who is currently online and if you type something, they all should see it.

So Robin anything yet? It isn't even my passport but the suspense is killing me. I am sure it will come in plenty of time but it certainly would have been nice if they had not decided to use Snail Mail powered by real snails as their delivery system.

I applied today for a Capital One Card because I heard that in Vancouver the Disney Visa will charge an additional 3% international fee for every transaction in Canada in addition to the normal exchange rate. It doesn't make sense to earn 1% & then for them to take 3% out.

The Capital One card does not charge an international fee so I'll use that instead of my Disney Visa. This will make sense because we're going to be in Vancouver for a week & most likely will drop a chunk of change & then some!

I tried to join the chat tonight since my Tuesday night home group doesn't start till next week, but it didn't seem to be working right.

Hey Tisza are you on the "boards" right now?

Tom is right..you will see everyone over and over...and also know when to go in the other direction when you see someone coming(hi Tom):rolleyes1....Ok ok I'm kidding...jeeesh I love you man

Nope not yet...I called again today and they said it has been approved and are still processing it....good lord...talk about being a pain.

I read in the forums that someone who is cruising on July 12th got their cruise documents today. Hopefully that means we should get ours in about a week.:banana:

Then hopefully ours should be coming pretty soon too. Poor Robin might get her cruise docs before her passport arrives. I'm with Tisza - I'm on pins & needles & have butterflies in my stomach hoping Robin's passport will come in time.

Allen & I are arriving in Vancouver on the 12th so I'm hoping we can watch the "Wonder" sail out & knowing we'll be on it the next time it sails. :cool1:
