Alaska on July 19th, 2011 "Where a good tan is hard to find"

Below is who I have participating in the FE exchanges...anyone want to join?? It'll be fun!

Hi All,

I have a few people to add to the FE group. I will get cabin numbers as soon as I can...

Ron DH, Jane DW, Emily DD turning 8 on 7/20 & likes purple, princesses, girly stuff, Nathan 13 likes sports (a demon on the basketball court or the soccer field)

Stephanie DW, teacher, Ron DH, retired US Navy, Elizabeth DD 15 talented ballerina

Oh and our group may be moving to early seating for dinner. I have been hard at work on FE gifts for the girls and family groups but am a bit at a loss on ideas for the guys young and old. Suggestions would be welcomed. You are welcome to send them as a pm if you wish. Since this is the first time I have done the FE exchange I am a very enthusiastic if inexperienced participant.

Take care all, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

Tisza

OK, I went and compared the first page to my list. If anyone else wants to join, please PM me.

I don't think we're going to be able to participate in the FE exchange. I should have told you sooner. Thanks for the update, though!

Unfortunately we're going to have to withdraw from participating in the FE exchange too. :sad1:

I can't believe it is March already! I can't believe I haven't logged in for like, a month! :) I can't believe how LOST I still feel trying to figure out all these excursions and planning this trip, even though I am lucky enough to be a 3 hour drive from the port. I know so little about Alaska, it is like going to a foreign country! So FTR, this is giving me a HUGE HEADACHE - and I thought it was supposed to be a vacation!! Is it just me??

BTW, does anyone know if you can request to be assigned to a certain server? We LOVED our server on our last Wonder cruise!

I've been wondering the same thing. The answer I seem to have so far is that no, you can't. And, of course, you don't know whether your server is still on the Wonder or has been reassigned to the Magic. I "heard" somewhere that about 75% of the Wonder staff stayed on the Wonder when the Magic went online.

Anyway, I've also heard that it might not hurt to call DCL about 3 weeks before the cruise to request your server. I may try that as well. If that doesn't work, after you board on the first day, take your dining tickets to the place they do dining changes and you might be able to do it there. I'd recommend doing that as soon as you're able.

I emailed our DreamsUnlimited TA and she said that Disney won't tell them who is on board and who isn't, but they can put the request in our notes. So I am hoping!!

For those of you that are still planning on ordering from Cafe Press, Groupon has a $50 for $25 on sale today. Search the city of Boston on Groupon.

Date difference from Mar 6, 2011 to Jul 19, 2011
The total number of days between Sunday, March 6th, 2011 and Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 is 135 days.
This is equal to exactly 4 months and 13 days.
This does not include the end date, so it's accurate if you're measuring your age in days, or the total days between the start and end date. But if you want the duration of an event that includes both the starting date and the ending date, then it would actually be 136 days.
The total time span from 2011-03-06 to 2011-07-19 is 3,240 hours.
This is equivalent to 194,400 minutes.
You can also convert 135 days to 11,664,000 seconds.
Today is 3/6/2011 and 7/19/2011 is exactly 135 days from today.

Yeah, we are getting closer. I guess that means we've gotta pay up for this little adventure pretty soon.

We finally gotten off my butt to schedule an appt. for our passports and good thing i did...they are booked up everywhere I was lucky to be able to get 2 of us in for the end of March...and that was from cancellations...but the boys i cant get in till April 9th

I was not thinking about how everyone now needs to have a PP...last year when I called they said I could come in the next day...but that was before it all changed. Good thing I called or I would have had to pay another $60 each to expedite it....

We do have our hotels booked and plane flight booked....this was the last thing...well except for paying off the cruise. I just transferred my ressie to DU so waiting to hear back from them so I can pay it off.

Still can't decide what we want to do for our excursions....so many choices. My kids are off almost 3 weeks starting tomorrow so I will square it all up. I'm sooooooooo excited...i need a vacation like crazy!

Anyone else still working on finalizing their trip?

Wow, thats surprising. For passports, all we have to do is go to the county courthouse. They even open one night a week for passports. No appointments needed.

When we did that about this time last year, it only took about 3 weeks with regular handling for the actual passports to arrive. I think they tell you about 6 weeks. So, I would think there's still plenty of time, but for those that don't have them and plan on getting them, I'd do it in the next month or so.
