First of all to Gary and Gail - happy anniversary! Very cute pic!!

Second -Be sure to check your reservations! I just took at look at my flights on Delta's website that I had booked back in September. We planned to take the train from Vancouver to Seattle so we could enjoy the city for a day and avoid a connecting flight home. I had a non-stop Seattle to Detroit fight booked. Well, Delta went and changed that flight to include a layover in Minneapolis. I tried to change it to non-stop flight online, leaving only 40 minutes later than the original flight, and Delta was trying to charge me a $150 flight change fee per ticket! I called up Delta and had a very nice reservationist put all 4 of us on the non-stop flight at no charge. I'm glad I didn't wait too long to find this or we might have been stuck with the change.

Hope that everyone had a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving. Ours was quiet and uneventful, which is just how I liked it.

But the BEST thing about the day was I was FINALLY able to get my DH to firm up our days of travel...which meant I was able to book plane tickets and our hotel stays. Thanks to USBank FlexPerks, we were able to save $1150.20 on our flights (three free, only had to pay for one). So we get into Seattle on Sunday the 17th in the morning at about 9am, will stay at the Hilton and drive up to Vancouver on Monday. Then Monday night we are staying at the Hampton Inn on Robson Street and we will stay there again when we get off the ship for Tuesday the 26th and Wednesday the 27th. Then on Thursday we drive back to Seattle (still have to get a hotel) and fly home on Friday the 29th. I am SO excited, my DH used to travel full time and we are Hilton Timeshare owners, so we have been able to stock up a nice amount of HiltonHonors points, so the hotels were all paid for with those miles. Now I just have to start saving up for spending, food and souvies . One other thing I need to do is get a rental car...anyone know of good deals or codes?? Also, what about parking at the port? What is the cost of that? Hope that Disney gets the excursion information out soon...it is killing me!

Hope everyone had safe travels and a great Thanksgiving...and to those of you headed out shopping for Black Friday...good luck!! It is about NEGATIVE 10 in Minnesota with the wind chill...I am staying home, might do some online shopping, time to tighten the purse strings

I've been watching the Sarah Palin show and I am intrigued by the enormous fish that they have been catching on that show!

The visuals are beautiful and I'm getting psyched for the trip. We've recently booked the hotel stay in Vancouver, we've decided to go with the Marriott.

Now that school is finished for a while, I have time to take a little breath. Been very busy here. We have wonderful news: our DD is expecting our second grandchild at the end of June! That is cutting it very close to our trip, but we still plan on cruising, God willing.
