Jo Ann, How wonderful!!!! October is a beautiful wedding month. Happy planning!

The Pan Pacific is right at port, you literally take the elevator down and the ship is right there. No rental car needed. LOL Rates are pretty high all over Vancouver so we decided if we're going to pay top dollar, might as well get the benefit of proximity.

We're having a good week. Our 3 teen sons enjoyed their homecoming dance on Saturday night. We watched Football on Sunday. Today is (DH) Allen's 48th birthday and we're going to celebrate with dinner out tomorrow night.

Then there is (DS) Robby & I packing for our WDW/Disney Wonder B2B cruise which we leave for a week from tomorrow. :goodvibes I'd say we're having a very good week. I hope everyone else is having a good one too!:thumbsup2

Hi All,

Well we were having a good week as indicated by my previous post.

Then on Saturday while we were packing & being excited that we're leaving this Wednesday, I learned that my good friend & hairdresser for 20 years passed away this week. :sad1: Tom was only 45 yrs old. We loved him like a brother & considered Tom part of our extended family.

Tom was there when Allen & I got married and did not only my hair but my bridesmaids hair too & didn't even charge me. Tom was there when my babies were newly born & watched them grow up. When (DS) Robby heard Tom had died, he wrote on his Facebook page that Tom was one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. Our family is going to miss him very much.

Tomorrow Robby & I leave for WDW & DCL B2B. On the Wonder I'll have a drink in honor of Tom's life, remember his laughter, & all the good memories I have of him.

Sure has been quiet around here.

I've kinda been sidetracked with the cruise we're taking in less than 2 monthis!!!! I don't really like the beach all that much, but I'm still looking forward to Castaway Cay.

I think I'm gonna hide something on the Wonder and then see if it's still there 7 months later. :)

Per request, I've set up a CafePress store where you can order logo merchandise.

I'm not sure how the quality of the graphic is gonna be when printed larger, so I'm going to order one of the cheap tshirts to check it out and will let you now. You should be ok to order stuff with smaller logos, but I would wait until you hear from me on the larger logos.

If there is any item I did set up that you'd like to see in the store or other suggestions, please let me know.

[NOTE TO MODERATORS: This is the same company that the DIS uses for their products. I have set it up with 0 (zero) profit margain, so I am not making money on this. There should be no issues with linking it here.]

Oh, this is just too cool!!!! There goes the Christmas budget!:woohoo:

Is there any chance of getting lime green t-shirts? I think that's the DIS color.

That is too cool! Thanks for setting it up!

seems we have all slowed down in here but no doubt as we get closer we will be chatting away :thumbsup2 Still have to book my hotel in Whistler but booked at the pan pacific for the 17th and 18th....it will be nice to just have the hotel porter take our luggage downstairs to the ship....nice...

not to mention just having to take the elevator downstairs to the ship.....cant get any closer than that!:cool1:

Would be nice if it was cheaper however but it is such a great location that it was worth every penny.....almost:lmao:

this is not a cheap trip....and I thought California was expensivepopcorn::

Hey all, still haven't booked air.........I found out I can book cheap on SW to Portland to visit my family before we drive up to Vancouver. We can still do a one way back from Vancouver, either a red eye arrival night or the next day.......:confused3

So........my question is.....how essential is it for us to visit Victoria?

Is it a not-to-be-missed.......or not? We're trying to decide how early to arrive in Vancouver. Also, would it be better to wait until after the cruise??? What is everyone else doing.???

Maybe we should start a list.........:surfweb:Would everyone please check in and share your arrival and departure days? This could get this site hopping!!:wizard::banana:

We are arriving in Vancouver on the 16th around 1:00 pm. I would love to fit in a day trip to Victoria, but think just hanging out in Vancouver would be more interesting to the rest of the family (sons will be 20 and 21). I don't mind; there seems to be plenty to see in the 2 1/2 days we'll spend there. We'll be taking the train to Seattle on the day we disembark, though it doesn't leave until 5:00 pm.

heres my info.....When we arrive we will stay in vancouver for 1 night...head up to Whistler for 3 nights than come back down to Vancouver and spend 2 more nights....than the cruise than home.
Well I finally booked my flight.

anyway...total for the 4 of us is $1222.00....not bad considering when I started looking at flights months ago it was over $2000 bucks. so still saved.

WE leave SD at 12:10 pm---arrive LA at 12:59----fly out of LA at 2:30----arrive Vancouver at 5:30

Return:

Leave vancouver at 1:20-----arrive LA at 4:20-----fly out of LA at 6:40----arrive San Diego at 7:27

Have i mentioned I hate flying Delta :scared1:

Next is booking the hotel.....will do that tomorrow.
