Can anyone speak to the ride difference given the same set of weather circumstances for these two Boeing models? I need to book my DD's honeymoon transportation for Aulani. Alaska has a very good price right now, but I was surprised at how small the jet was. I'm just interested in the ride, in my little brain the smaller plane will get bounced around much more than the larger one. My DD is not a good flyer and they had a less than fabulous flight to Aulani the last time they went so just trying to up the odds that they will have a good flight. TIA

Your assumptions about the plane size are correct, all other things being equal. Where would they be flying from?

A 737 is not a "small" plane. I would not worry about the ride due to weather. It a 737 will get bounced around so will a 777.

Agree that a 737 isn't a "small" plane. However there is a big difference in the size of a 737 and a 777. The 777 won't get bounced around as much as a 737.

The 737 is a great airplane. But for a long trip where turbulence may be an issue, I would go with the larger 777.

I prefer the middle of the plane. Learned that the hard way when I got stuck in the second to last row of a SW 737 in December. Coming down we hit "rough air" and it felt like Tower of Terror.
