ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

I'm hoping ~

Wanted to thank you for your encouragement:thumbsup2

We are FINALLY checked in! I am so excited. I got my Mom to give me the information to finish it. So I am happy that is out of the way and maybe we will get our names preprinted on stuff like you suggested might happen!

I can't wait ~ 53 more days!

PJ ~ I love the pics! I didn't even think to take pics of our fireworks...night practice with my camera since I am still learning how to use it (it is less than 1 yr).

I have some pics from Hickam....we did a sailing regatta during the day and stayed for the fireworks. I still need to finish up my FE's but I'm about done. I am so impressed that people are weighing their luggage! Totally awesome to be so prepared...I'm sure we will be close on weight for sure. :rolleyes1 It's so different flying to a cruise departure point than driving to one!

PJ, very cool picture!!! What a neat experience to see the last launch in person:banana::banana:

Piikea, glad you got the check-in all finished, that's always a nice feeling to have finished:goodvibes

Tracey, good luck getting your inlaws done. The rest of my party's is done except for putting their credit cards on---I set them up as cash so I could get them finished a few weeks ago.

I still need to pack for our trip tomorrow morning---it's going to be an early wakeup at 4:30 or so for our 6:30 flight.

Have a great week and I'll "ketchup" with you all next Saturday:goodvibes

PJ,
How cool was that?! My son and I watched it on TV, but I can't imagine getting to see it in person! I still remember watching the very first one - can't believe it has been 31 yrs. A little sad to see the end of an era.

Just had to share my historic day!

STS-135PJ.jpg

Nice, We cruised the MED with a couple who graduated from Christian Bros College in Memphis, my alma-matter and now live in Madison Alabama, both are engineers at NASA - she was involved with the Space Shuttle program.

Really lucked out with the weather, it was only a matter of minutes to scrubbing the launch.

That's where I work and live too. Wonder if know them. ;)

Nice picture and glad they had a great launch.

We had a chance to see two different launches on two different Disney cruises from the cape and both were scrubbed at the last minute what a bummer that was. I hope you get the chance to see the landing.

Back from the reunion. Looks like everyone had a great 4th. Let me know if there has been any new or updates I need to know.

Did check the DISNEY CRUISE website today. Looks like no upgrades. ONLY CAT 4 A & B left. Maybe a full ship?

Welcome back Kimberly ~ it has still been pretty quiet except for the great pics that PJ shared! Here's hoping she gets the invite to the landing and shares more pics:thumbsup2

Hope you had a great reunion!

An upgrade to Cat 4 A or B would be fine with me. ;)

 We finally got a room assignment! I have looked at my reservation online a hundred times and was shocked to see a number there! Room 8026 here we come!!

Mine was there today too - I've been upgraded 11C to 9C.

We got lucky too...5C to 4A. Guess it helped that the cruise was almost sold out with a GTY reservation. You know we have been on 6 cruises total and never have been upgraded. I'm excited!
