ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

This last week must have been great viewing of the Aurora display! The forecast I have said it had "very high" for several nights in a row and it dipped down into the mainland US on their map (and as low as south of Ketchikan for us!) I've been checking it out every once in a while and for most of July it was low and only a couple of days of moderate. :wizard: Getting excited...only a few more weeks now.

BTW...DD survived her first day of Kindergarten with a smile on her face so all is well here!

Crazy! Had to have been so scary for them, but I can't help but laugh watching it because of their reactions.

Everyone has been talking about their surprise credits and I didn't really know anything about them or where to find them, but I was just going through email and came across a couple from DCL with credits for $28.60 & $60.00:banana:

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Any emails fom DCL usually get a quick glance and get moved to our cruise folder. I never would have noticed!

Oh, did everyone receive an email stating that there was a credit coming their way or did you all just see on your visa bill. As far as I can tell, we've not received anything yet.

Started to closely review some emails from Disney and found a $30 credit :cool1:!! I missed it initially because I had saved a couple of other cruises and this email came at the same time as the confirmation for the other ones.

When I opened it, I realized that the confirmation was for this cruise. I thought, What in the world. But reading all the way through, I found our credit.

So, thank you all.

I got an e-mail from DCL titled Reservation Confirmation, but at the very bottom it includes the Total Due and Less Payments. Our payments were more than total due so the difference was shown as ($45) which means a $45 credit.

Yes, I know. I just found ours. So :cool1:!

Yep - that link takes you to our homepage - you can listen to previous episodes from there, check out our "Town Directory" and subscribe to the show via iTunes, among other stuff.

Not to make you jealous or anything :) but about 10 years ago, I saw a FANTASTIC Aurora Borealis display over Lake Michigan - so sometimes they do creep down to the Lower 48.

Cool web page!

:cool1:

Hmmm...thought I saw someone with our Mickey's mooseketeers logo and thought they were on our cruise. I didn't recognize the name so I was gonna mention why they hadn't posted with us yet but when I looked at it closer they are gonna be on a 2012 cruise.

i was wondering for those of you seeing credits--did you use a travel agent or book direct? i used a travel agent and did not get a confirmation email from dcl or credit:sad2:

i did, however, just finish our FE stateroom gifts  they were supposed to be gender neutral but as usual, i went one step too far when i added a little "bling" and now DH says it is no longer gender neutral. oh well. now i am going to try and wrap up the kids FE gifts and gifts for the women. btw--any females in the FE, please PM me your hair color if you have not already done so--i am making personalized gifts.

I booked directly.

Congrats on finishing you FE gifts. I know how much work that takes.

Do you guy know if the credit will go back to our credit card or if it will go to on board credit?

I'm thinking it will be onboard credit. I have noticed that once Disney has you moola, they are very reluctant to return it to you. So, they find some other way for you to "use" it with them. Just an observation that I have made.

I have been seeing the credits on my credit card.

Then, I guess I'd better wait for the next credit card statement to come in. Although, I will have been on this cruise before then, so, I will know the answer before we receive that statement.

I have seen no credit here. Boo. And check today and our cruise is still showing "SOLD OUT" . We cruised in September and there was not many people, I'm a little worried about the crowds. And how crowded will the kids clubs be. THOUGHTS....

I haven't seen the latest credit appear yet but have seen previous so am giving it a few more days.
