Alaska ~ 8/13/12 ~ Midnight Sun Mouseketeers!

I'm with you. I happened to like the idea of going out of Seattle. I like Seattle and it is much more convenient. As far as the visits to the towns I am sure we will adjust and make the most of our time in each place. There are some people who are not happy unless they are complaining about everything - folks get a life. Like you said if they don't like it go on the other boats - we don't want you. Personally I can't wait.

Sorry I'm late joining the rant but count me in on being sick of the negative nellies and nelsons! Get over it already. Really, now that they have extended our port times a bit, there is very little difference in what excursions we will be able to do versus the 2011 cruisers.

I, like Jackson's Grammie, prefer cruising out of Seattle too -- in fact we plan on spending several days there first.

Plus, I am not opposed to a few more hours on that beautiful boat versus on shore being pampered Disney style. Can't wait!

We are so excited about the cruise especially spending time on the ship thats why we are going on the Dec 11 to MR. Its our preview.

How funny that you are going on an earlier cruise...I am looking for a cruise to go on, too! It seems like August is so far away, that we're looking at our spring break week. My oldest son is in middle school, and can't take a week off without getting far behind. So, going during school is not an option for us.

I talked to customer service today who said they will be updating the website soon with the port adventures available to us in 2012. He said they will be changing a bit from the ones from 2011 due to port times. So, keep checking back every now and then. May 15 is right around the corner, that's my day to book!

I am so excited it feels real now! :yay: We got our plane tickets :cool1: We will be arriving in Seattle on Saturday at lunch time, this way we can enjoy Seattle for a couple of days before boarding the ship.

BTW I agree with you guys completely don't let the nay sayers get you down, don't let them come and we will have more of the Disney Love to ourselves!

Hope everybody has a great day!

Barb

This cruise is becoming ever more real now that we have our airline tickets (used frequent flyer miles, yay!) and solidified our hotel plans. We will be flying in on the Friday before and will be staying three nights at the Sheraton!

Has anyone given any thought to excursions at the various ports of call? I haven't really focused on that part yet!

Beth

One thing I really liked to read on trip reports for Alaska this past summer was that the kids clubs were moved up on the deck in a special area so that they could enjoy Tracy Arm. I love it when DCL switches things up like that.

received our package from DCL for our Mexican Cruise on Dec 11 today. So it is official. We are very excited for our preview cruise. It will be very different as this one will be decorated for xmas.

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. My twins were very excited to go back to school today to see their friends. My plan is to get the Christmas bins out and get some of the breakable things put out before my helper elves get home from school. :)

I was reading the main board and came across a good Disthread about Seattle. Joe, I saw that you asked a question on it so I know you are aware of it! I will also paste it on our first page too.

Also, I'm wondering what everyone is thinking about in terms of doing an FE exchange. Please post your opinions on this -- I think Elaine has posed this FE query in a previous post too! My family would be up for doing it -- my kids love to race to the door to see if there are any surprises in the FE! :yay:

It's official! We've switched our reservation to this sailing, so we'll be joining the midnight mouseketeers!

We have 2 cabins (6564 and 6566) for me, DP, and her parents. We'd definitely be in for the FE.

It's just over a month away until our Wonder-preview cruise to the MR. If you have any questions or photo requests, let me know.

the 10th family to join the Midnight Sun Mouseketeers! Welcome to the members of the TiggerAllie Party!

Allison, I have added your information to the roll call on the first page. If you want me to add any other information to the roll call (like first names), just let me know. I'm so glad you switched your cruise over to this one!!!!

be in charge of organizing the FE exchange? It basically would be just keeping track of who says they want to participate in the FE --and when the time comes compile the group list and email it out to participants. If the number remains small (we are a small cruise meet group right now) then we can stay in one FE group. Not sure what the magic number is to split into smaller sizes, guess that can be discussed later if it becomes an issue.

Would anyone be interested in donning the FE organizer volunteer cap? Pretty please?
