Do they give us bandanas?

I believe they did give us bandanas on the last cruise we went on. We are getting really excited and are excited about fe. My husband and I are just returning from a week long trip in Kauai and now time to pack for Alaska!!! My husband isn't going on the Alaska cruise b/c he is going to stay behind with our 2 year old twins. So I will be traveling with my parents and my older two girls. Does anyone know the earliest we can get on the ship? I felt like we were one of the last families on When we went on our last cruise. Plan on meeting everyone at 3 at promenade. :)

Thanks for checking! I've only seen 1, 2 & 4, so I hope we'll have time to catch the others. The last two cruises we were on, we had midnight Pre-mEARS, but they were on the last night each time, and it made for a groggy debarkation!

Hi there! Believe it or not, we just booked our 8/13 cruise to Alaska and wanted to join the group if it's not too late! This is our second DCL trip and we are so excited, especially because this time we are embarking from our own hometown!

I didn't get to do the Meet and Greet on our first cruise but am hoping to catch up with many of you this time. Also, I know it's far too late for FEs, but we are, of course bringing something specially made for everyone on the list and if anyone has any extra gifts, it would be great if you could keep us in mind. My kids especially would love it! :cool1:

Here's our info:

The Morgan Family
Room Number 8508 F
2 Adults/2 Children - 1 girl, 1 boy, ages 8 and 10
2nd Dinner Rotation

Can't WAIT to set sail and meet you very soon! :cheer2:

Please do! We are a small group and it will be so much fun to meet everyone and match disboard names to real live faces. It seems so long ago when I started this thread -- and now we are almost at cruise time!!!!!!!!!!

A hearty Midnight Sun Mouseketeer welcome to Sally and the rest of the Morgan family! We are so glad you are joining us. :):):)

I have placed you on the roll call. I also added your name down at the bottom of the FE list that appears on our roll call post (see the first page) in case anyone has extra gifts they can drop by your room. I know I do! Look forward to meeting you at our Meet and Greet! Is your daughter the one who is 8? My tinkerbelltwins are 8 too!!!!

Hi, fellow cruisers!

We're coming a little late to the party, but I have an excuse - we just got back from our first Adventures by Disney trip a week and a half ago, and all the space in the planning part of my brain was taken up with that trip until now! :lmao: I know someone will ask - it was the Spirit of America tour, and except for the worst heat wave in DC history, was really fabulous - I would travel ABD again in a heartbeat!

But back to our next adventure, I'm getting really excited for the Alaska cruise! We booked on our MR in 2/11, so I really don't have an excuse for not joining this thread earlier...

We are: Preedymtnwest: Me (Kristina), DH (Jeff), DS15 (Shaner), and DS11 (Skyler). We live in Washington (State) and are SOOOOOO excited to DRIVE :drive: to the cruise ship on the morning of the cruise and not have to fly anywhere this time!!!:cool1: We are in 6610, and have 2nd seating. This is our 4th DCL; we did two 3-night Bahamas, and the MR February 2011. We really liked the 7-day cruise so much better than the shorter one, even though we missed Castaway Cay on the MR. We got to know the ship really well and do a lot of things we just didn't have time for on the 3-night.

Traveling with us is my DSis (Susan), her DH (Mike), and their DD13 (Katie) and DS8 (Christopher). They live even closer to the port than we do. They are adjoining in 6608, and also have 2nd seating. This is their 3rd DCL (they did the others with us, except for the 2nd 3-night). We love to travel with them and have a fabulous time.

I know we're too late for FEs, and that's just fine with us this time; with my previous trip and all the planning that went into it (we added an extra week where we were on our own - the ABD part was EASY PEASEY), I just didn't get my act together soon enough. HOWEVER, please don't be confused by the FEs we'll hang outside our door for decoration - I made them for a previous cruise and just can't stand to not display them when we're with people who will appreciate them!

I really truly just looked up this thread tonight and haven't had a chance to read through all the posts, but intend to. I'm usually quite the planner, but have not even chosen excursions yet, so am still trying to read up on all of those and figure out if there are any worthwhile ones left! If I had a cool $8000 laying around, I'd certainly do the ABD add-on, but just couldn't justify it after our previous trip. :rolleyes2

We've done meets before just as you've suggested, in the Promenade lounge, and that seems to work well. We'd love to meet up.

Well, better get back to excursion research... <sigh> Looking forward to meeting you in 3 weeks!

Kristina, Like I just did for Sally, I added your name to the bottom of the FE list as a latecomer. Some of us (like me!) have extra stuff and will be happy to drop a few things in your FE if you have one hanging outside your stateroom. This is not to say that anyone on the regular FE list has to do this, but if people have extras, I'm sure they would love to spread some pixie dust on your family. :)

I can't believe it's almost here!! :)

We're going to try to make it to the Meet, but it will depend on getting the parents settled in their room (if they want to nap, do the walking tour, etc.) which will also be related to how early we actually get to the port and board.

WHOOT!!! We are almost there! Getting so excited...and so insane over all the last minute details and packing. Considering that it is around 90 degrees here, it sure is tough to think about packing sweaters and fleece (lol). Looking forwards to this week flying on by...see you all soon!

:coffee::coffee:My DH called me over to the computer this morning. He was watching the Disney Cruise Mom's (her name is Andi) video reports from Alaska. It was done last year so there was more time for the various port adventures. If you haven't yet seen her videos, it is on the DCL site over in the planning center in the video area -- she has reports every day of the cruise (it is professionally done, probably with DCL's assistance!). She has helpful tips posted there and it really gets the family in the mood to go. My kids are so excited to be at "base camp" up on the top deck for Tracy Arm.

After watching her tips I realized we had forgotten our gloves, so now they are laid out for packing!

For those of you coming in early, especially from the scorching parts of the country, you are in for a treat! The weather here has finally turned to "summer" and although we have the marine push in the mornings (a bit cloudy and misty, especially against the mountains), the afternoons are clear and a comfortable 75-80 - perfect for viewing Mt. Rainier, the Cascades, and the Olympics, or just walking around Seattle. It's forecasted to stay that way all week - enjoy! And just in time for our departure to colder climes, it's supposed to be only 72 on Monday. :cool1:

See you all soon! Happy packing!

Hey everyone,

I am passing out something super fun at our Meet and Greet on embarkation day at 3:00pm in the Promenade Lounge! If you can't make it, I will slip what I'm passing out under your stateroom door or in your FE and you can have fun doing it throughout the course of our cruise! On Day 7 as we head to Victoria, I'm planning on being in the Promenade Lounge from 3-4pm if you want to stop by, compare notes, and say hello. :)

I can't wait to meet all of you soon -- it seems so long ago when I started this thread. It is always so much fun when departure day approaches!

Safe travels to Seattle!!!!
