Any reviews on the 5 night Alaska sailing from Vancouver? Am I going to regret only doing 5 nights? For a variety of reasons, this works better for our schedule and budget, but also don't want to do it if it feels you like really don't get to see/do anything. Our kids are ages 12, 12, 10, 5, and love DCL.

Isn't that the one with just 1 port? I remember it vaguely. Seems like a lot of money to spend for
just 1 port.

Hmmm, this is a tricky one. Of the three main ports in Alaska, I personally liked Skagway and Juneau better than Ketchikan, but Ketchikan was definitely still a fun place to visit. And my favorite part of my Alaskan cruise was the sea days, hanging out on the Princess equivalent of Deck 4, just basking in the beauty of Alaska and looking for wildlife. The two Disney cruises I’ve done have been to Bermuda, so again a single port and the kids really like all the sea day options on the ship.

Do you think you’ll only do an Alaskan cruise once? If it were me, I’d do the five night this year but plan on a longer cruise in 4-5 years when the 5yo is older and you can do some of the more adventurous excursions as a family.

I agree with this - Ketchikan was my least favorite. I can’t really say why, but it was. It wasn’t bad by any means, however if your choice was the 5 night this year or the 7 night next year, I’d go for the 7 night.

If it’s the 5 night or nothing I would do 5.
