Alarm clocks: Who hits snooze?

When the alarm goes off I:

  • get up immediately

  • lay in bed listening to the radio, then get up

  • hit snooze once

  • hit snooze two times

  • hit snooze 3+ times

  • sleep right through it

  • n/a: I don't use an alarm clock

I was curious, how many people actually get up when their alarm goes off and who hits snooze?

Personally, as soon as my alarm goes off, I'm up and moving. I feel more tired if I lay in bed trying to get some extra sleep. Once I put my eyeballs (contacts) in, I'm wide awake ready to start the day.

I hit it once or twice (usually twice) trying to put off the inevitable.

I hit snooze on average about 5 times every weekday morning (every 7 minutes;)). I'm not a morning person. Amazingly enough, when I'm at WDW, I don't even need an alarm clock, I'm up early every morning.

I purposely set the clock an hour ahead so I can hit the snooze several times. I am NOT a morning person at all.;)

I usually hit the snooze button two times. Sometimes we sleep through both mine AND DH's alarm clocks :/

Internal alarm clock :(
No need for a real one. I am always up before I need to be.

Hit the snooze at least 2 ...........maybe 3 times. If I set the clock later (as DH suggests.......his goes off 45 min. later than mine) I still hit the snooze, and then am late getting up, getting in the shower, and then have to rush. Once I start out late, I feel like I never "catch up" all day.

I have to set it for nearly an hour before I need to get up because I sleep right through it most of the time.

Unless it's one of those buzzing types -- those I can't sleep through, but they leave me so startled and shaky that it's a horrible way to start the day. I prefer the snooze-through-an-hour-of-radio method.

Internal clock for me and DH too. We recently had to get up an hour earlier for a trip. I just told myself that before I went to bed and "voila!" , I woke up an hour early.

BUT, I do make sure we do get at least eight hours of sleep every night, so that probably is why we wake on our own.

I hate mornings. I have to hit it once or twice before I am awake.

I hit the snooze button so many times it's ridiculous. But once I'm up I'm ready to go...it's just getting out of bed that's hard :earsgirl:

No snooze for me. I would rather have the extra few minutes of uninterrupted sleep than waking up every few minutes to hit snooze.

I'm up and at 'em...usually before the alarm goes off. If I were going to hit the snooze button, I would just set the alarm for later.

DD is my alarm clock. She does not come with a snooze. ;) :)

HATE mornings, but my kids have to get to school.
Alarm goes off 7.15, I hit Snooze, it repeats at 7.24 and I hit the floor running!
I remember when my DS was little, he would poke my eyelids up with his fingers, if he could see my eyes that meant I was awake!
Ouch!

I have to get up right away. I used to hit the snooze once or twice but found I feel worse if I do that. I also moved my clock out of reach so I have to get up to turn it off.

I turn on the TV, hit the snooze and then get up.

Only time I've ever hit snooze was a mistake. I'm usually always up pretty much straight away.

I used to hit the snooze at least 4 times a day. That was before the 2 kids. Now I dont even need an alarm. Cant sleep past 6 even on Sunday.

The alarm clock is across the room from my bed so i get out of bed walk across the room and hit the snooze button for a good 45 minutes to an hour. I set my alarm about an earlier than i really have to.
