We are going the first week of Feb. and they have the best rates. My questions are, can you bypass the counter and are the cars right in the airport? Thank you for all your help in advance.

I can't answer your question about being able to bypass the counter, but yes, the cars are right across the street from the counter. Very convenient.

My understanding from info on mousesavers.com is that you cannot bypass the counter, but you could sign up for their Quicksilver membership and be able to wait in a shorter line. And yes, like already mentioned the cars are right across the street - next to National.

There has been a lot of discussion about Quicksilver membership on these boards. I could be wrong but I believe if you're not already a member it is difficult to get now unless you belong to an organization or something. Try doing a search using Quicksilver.

If you are a Quick Silver member you can bypass the line and go directly to your car.
This is what happened to us recently. We actually waited in the QS line only to be told to go to the garage and get our car.

We used Alamo the last time we were in Orlando and they were fabulous! We weren't QS members but the lady who helped us was very knowledgable and our wait was very short. The cars were very close by and we had our pick of quite a few convertibles.

Hertz, on the other hand, was a disaster and I will not use them again. I rented a vehicle from BWI airport with Hertz, maybe MCO is different.
