Alamo woes at MCO

I don't mean to ambush this thread, but I was hoping someone who has been to MCO lately could tell me if Alamo and National have seperate check in desks at the airport. Whenever I use coupons I make a backup reservation. This time I have my reservation with Alamo and my back up with National. It might be "uncomfortable" if they do not except my coupon at Alamo and then I say "OK then could I have my reservation for National instead" to the same attendant. I know, I know, I am odd but any information you all could give would be appreciated.

They are near each other, but two separate lines.

Any chance you still have the link for it? I too am not comfortable signing up as a small business but maybe you found an application where that is not necessary?

Thanking you in advance for your time.

The QS application does not ask for any business information other than a phone number. So, you would not need to sign up as small business.

If you did online check in why did you wait in line? Can't you bypass the counter and go right to the car?

Pam, Funny you mention this. We were so excited to be on vacation and we were busy yakking withone another and smiling from ear to ear that we did not read signs well! DH and I were in line and at the counter so fast that we only noticed another sign that I think directed us to some computer terminals. I think the sign said that if you did the on-line check in to head to some separte computer area, but we did not see it quick enough.

Also we had decided that since we had arrived earlier that we had thought that we needed to add a few hours to our reservation and I think to do that we had to go to the regular counter.

I typically book w/alamo & national early, then wait for the best deal. However, I do cancel a few weeks out...they do run out of cars during heavy travel periods. I am not the car-police, do as you wish, just think it's courteous not to hold a res. you have no intention of utilizing.

If you use QS or EA you have to link a CC guaranteeing the res...if you don't cancel it I assume they'll charge you for it.

BTW, there's a link on mousesavers rental car page for QS & EA signup.
