Alamo verses Thrifty i.e does size matter??

Ok for almost the same amount of money, I can rent a compact with Alamo verses a special - full size with Thrifty. During past trips I have rented from Alamo and like using the kiosk. Wondering if one rental agency is better than the other and if the size of the car will make a difference. I also prefer to rent a Toyota or Kia. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think Alamo is way better...and I'd rather have a compact Toyota than a full-size Chevy...and with Alamo, you can choose your car. Just be aware that if you're renting a compact, it might not have features you are used to like automatic windows, remote door lock, etc. Might or might not be a big deal to you. (and clearly some compacts will have these and some won't)

Car size only matters if you have enough people and luggage to require more space.
