Just wondering if the Standard and Full size cars at Alamo use the same aisle? I have read on a few other posts that they are actually the same despite the price difference. I have the option of renting a mid size with an upgrade to standard, or paying a bit extra for a standard with an upgrade to a full size. The specs of the cars look the same, 5 people and 4 bags. The last time we rented from them we had a standard (Chrysler 200) and it was pretty roomy. Anyone input on this would be greatly appreciated!

If you rent a standard, you pick from the full size isle. There is no standard isle in Orlando.

Book the mid size with the upgrade to standard. You will then select from the full size isle. Have used this trick several times. Years ago, the price for standard and full was always the same, but the last few years, the prices have been different. Using an upgrade coupon is the best way to take advantage of this and get a better price.

Thanks everyone! I was quite sure that's how it worked at MCO but the last time I was there I had baby brain and it was a bit of a blur. I have a reservation for a standard with an upgrade (useless) and a mid size with an upgrade (cheaper). Looks like I will be cancelling the standard with the upgrade reservation. Cars are pretty pricey for April right now and even more so with the Canadian exchange rate. Every bit of savings helps.
