Going to Orlando and Disney in October and need to rent a car. Based on research we are going to go with Alamo. Anybody have any good rental codes for this time. Right now for a mid size car looking around $450.00 when i go their site. Hopefully i can get down to around $350.00 atleast. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Take care

Check mousesavers.com, and if you are a Costco member, check their website (Costco.com, not Costco.ca) and you'll find good coupon codes and id's to use. Canadians can use these codes too. HTH:thumbsup2

Have you tried Avis using this code K199060 (it's a FL tourism code)? There is also a coupon for a weekly discount. We rented a mid size for a week in the Fall for 175.00.

Thank you, that's the best I've found yet. The rates are still much higher than last year, though. That and the $35 coupon brings us down to $272.94 for a fullsize for 8 days in December.

I booked our rental from Alamo thru Borders rewards and got a really good discount. Try it and compare. When you get to bordersrewards click on travel and look for Alamo.

Just used your code at Avis!!!

I have been watching for months for my WDW Trip on 12/25-1/1. Rental care have been running past $600.00 for the week.

Just reserved a standard - $169.00!

WOW!!!

Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you! :worship: Thank you! :worship:Thank you! :worship:

I just changed my reservation from my corporate discount of $303. for a week to this code for $ 173.49 for the week!

I almost always use Walmart (430710) + coupon (changes, but on Alamo website).

Also, I just modified a late August, 5-day reservation and knocked off $100 (same car, same everything). Rates came down a ton. :) I find that happens often with Alamo -- but I always book early so to be sure that I get what I want just in case. Be sure to check even after you reserve!

Question for all you car rental experts.

I have been seaching for deals and this is the best that I have come up with.

Avis (using code K199060)
Sat to Sat Feb 27- March 6
full size
$435 after taxes

What are your opinions on this? It's a long time out. Is this a good price for a week with a full size car?

(Oh, I also like that fact that Avis is right at the airport, no shuttles, and that they don't charge for an extra driver.)

Thanks in advance.

Dayna :)

Tips: Always reserve on the hour not the 1/2 hour for pick-up and drop-off times.

Also, check rates for Alamo/National based on picking up at the Dolphin or Disney Car Care Center and returning to MCO.

We are taking the DME to WDW and then picking up our car at the Dolphin which knocked about $150 off the rental price vs. picking up at MCO.

We're going for a week at the end of August and I had previously booked with Alamo through Costco and received a rate of $278 for the week (midsize vehicle) with their discount code. I had originally booked this at the end of June.

I just checked again today and rates have dropped substantially. I can now get a fullsize for the week for $185. Coupled with the gift certificates I have from Air Miles ($200) the car is now basically free - except we have to pay the taxes.

Gotta love Air Miles.

Have you tried piceline.com? I have rented there the last 2 times I traveled to Orlando and you can save a lot.

Nope. That price stinks. I am paying less for TWO weeks over Christmas and New Year's. Keep your reservation and keep on trying for a better rate.

Thanks! That is what I needed to hear. I thought it was high, but I wanted to make sure.
