Alamo rate just dropped

My Alamo rate just dropped. I have been looking almost daily. Tonight I was able to book a standard SUV for 4/11-1/19 for $202.48! I used the Walmart code 430710 and printable coupon AD1336ADK available on thier website.

I know! I just rebooked mine as well - 4/21 (9:00 am) - 4/26 (6:30 pm) Standard size SUV through the costco website. After all taxes/fees, total is $150.48! Costco savings alone were close to $35! My other rate was $190 after all fees.

I discovered that by changing the pick up time and drop off time it changed the rate by about $65.

Where is that coupon from? It says you need to print it and have it with you at pick up.

I got it from www.retailmenot.com

The site doesn't go into much detail about where the coupons come from. On the reservation it says 'might' be required to show it.

I'm willing to take a chance. If someone knows where this ones from I'd love to know.

Also, if you look on your confirmation email it gives a description of the coupon code. This one says something like Internet coupon. Many people on these boards have used it without having a printout.

Thanks! I just saved $75! The annoying thing is if I want to just modify my existing reservation it still shows the same price, even though I can do a new reservation and get a lower rate! Oh well. Maybe it will go down even more since I don't leave until June!

I just used the link to the VISA coupon posted in the "April Car Rates..Post Your Best deal" thread and my rate dropped to $196.63. Not a huge drop, but I will take it!

I used these codes together: I.D. # 675899 (Costco), Rate/Product code : MCA8 (Costco), Coupon AD3469FJD (off the Dis here) !!!!! Plus it gave me an additional driver for free. We have never needed it, but great to have in case.

Using your codes, I'm getting a great price for an SUV. We have a costco card, but, can you tell me where you got the discounts from and do we need any coupons to show at pickup. I'm assuming that all we need is the costco card, but, I'm unsure about the coupon AD3469FJD. Is there a printout for that.

You don't need a coupon for the Walmart code. It is one of the codes listed on Mousesavers.

If you have any type of visa card, try the below link. My SUV rental came out even cheaper than the costco promotion. You will need to print out the visa coupon in the attached link and bring it with you. My rental is 4/21-4/26, SUV for $144.55!
