Alamo - Prepay and pick-up?

This is our second time renting from Alamo at MCO. Last time I pre-paid but still went down to the kiosk before going to pick out the car. Recently, I seem to recall reading somewhere that if you prepay and check-in online you can skip the counter/kiosk and just go straight out to the car. Could anyone confirm if this is true, and if so what will I need to print and show at the garage booth after we select our car? I plan to pay for our rental online this afternoon.

I know with National you skip the kiosk & desk but even with Save Time with Alamo I've always had to scan barcode at kiosk. Doesn't take long but is a pain to take elevators down to lower level. The only other thing I can think of is if someone checked in at the people in the garage near the cars but I've never done that.

It depends on your reservation. In general, though, I find that if you use a coupon code, you can only use the kiosk option. (Though I've never used a coupon that had any bearing on the kiosk at all.) If you don't use a coupon code, then you are given the kiosk or pre-pay and go straight to the garage option.

Don't you have to take the elevators down a level anyway? The kiosks are located on the same level as the garage.

Last month we rented a car from Alamo at MCO and checked-in online in advance. We had to enter the driver and credit card info then printed out the confirmation that had a bar code to scan. When we got to the airport, we went straight to the garage and picked out our car. They are arranged by car class. We had to stop for 2 minutes at a kiosk on the way out - they processed the payment there. You have to use the same credit card you used when you checked in online.
