Alamo prepay and coupon?

I currently have a full-size SUV from 4/21 (10:00am) through 5/6 (4:00pm) at roughly $381 using the Entertainment book coupon. If I use the prepay link to book, it will let me put in the Entertainment coupon in the block, but not the contract ID (that comes up as Prepay) and the weekly rate is then higher.

Is there any way around this? Or anyone got a better rate for a 15-16 day rental. We are 2 adults and 3 kids so we definitely need the full-size SUV or a minivan. Minivan rates seem to be really high!

Will you be spending the 10 days at wdw, or driving to different areas in fla?

The reason I ask is that we are also a family of 5 -two adults plus 20 yr old, 18 yr old and 14 yr old and manage with a full size car. Yes it is alittle tight back and forth from the ariport with luggage but fine for driving around wdw.

We're actually going to be spending the two weeks all over the place (see sig). I'm afraid we would never get all of our luggage plus stroller into a full-size trunk. And, we are renewing our wedding vows at Disney so we will have some wedding items as well.

Did you try using the Walmart codes that mousesavers publishes on their website. This is not through their newsletter and available to anyone. It is 20%. I used that plus a $20 off weekly coupon on the alamo website and when we go to prepay which I will do soon will get another %15 off. That is a total of 35% plus for you $40 more for the two weeks. That might be less. It saved us a bundle. We also saved more taking ME to WDW and then renting the car there. Part of our trip is vacation week, I was surprised that WDW site was cheaper. SO nice that you are renewing your vows!

Are you sure that when you go to use the prepay option your rate will not change. That is my problem. When I try to use that, it changes the weekly rate to something astronomical which eliminates the benefit for prepaying.

Mommy Poppins- Looks like you are not able to prepay if ressie is over 30 days out and cannot use a coupon. Hope this helps you. I am not able to prepay yet either, so not sure what will happen when I do. Makes me think I might not get my great rate either, as I am relying the 20%off code. We'll see.

costco.com has a great code. Go to the travel section and find the rental car link. Click the alamo link and link directly to alamo from there. You will be taken to a page with the general costco code and two additional coupons. I have a mini-van for 2wks in Feb for $365 incl tax, one additional driver and unlimited mileage.

we hit 25 years next June and would love to do this.

Have a great time

I went to costco.com and got a rate of $147 for five days which is the best rate I've seen for our dates (2/6 - 2/11). The problem is, I'm not a member of Costco and there isn't even a Costco near us. Must you show a Costco card?

Depends on the company and the agent. Some do and some don't.

I rent with Sams Club discounts all the time, but I was only asked for my Sams card at Thrifty - and of course, it happened to be the one time I left my Sams card home! But the agent let me have the discounts anyway.

I thnk the costco code and the walmart code is the same % off, so you could use the walmart code at mousesavers, which is for anyone.
