Depends on the trim level. The Ecoboost is a step up above the base V6 despite being a 4 cylinder.

V8's are rare in rental fleets. Sounds like you had a base V6.

It's not. It's a specialty rental I think it's either a Luxury Elite or Premium Elite. Either way it's a higher category then regular premium

Also, one warning. If you, like a lot of people, use either your personal insurance or credit card for insurance make sure it covers these specialty cars. Mine only covers cars up to about $50K

Yes you are probably right about the category.
But its weird that they only paid $700 with one extra driver and CDW for 7 days.

They didnt reserve though...walk in "purchase" maybe thats why.

That's $100 per day. Depends on demand but sometimes you can get a good price. Since I normally pay closer to $250 for 7 days I think this is a realistic upgrade.
