Alamo or National's SUV?

Anyone get a suv from national /alamo? What make / model did you have?

National had Saturn Vues on EA last trip (in lieu of intermediate).

Alamo tried to "palm off" a Cruiser as a SUV last year (they ran out!!!)...I don't think so. We still got stuck w/it but, received a credit.

I'm hoping for a Chevy Equinox @ Alamo end of month but, DH reminded me that we've never gotten the vehicle used for illustration purposes when you make the ressie.

We got a GMC Envoy. There were also Chevy TrailBlazers, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Chrysler Pacifica, and someone had just gotten into a Buick Rainier. We booked through Alamo, but they were out of SUV's (said it would be about 5 minutes) so told us just to take one from National.

May 13 from Alamo we got a Saturn Vue and there were also Jeep Liberty and there may have been one Equinox on the row.

May 12th we had a Buick Rainer from Alamo..nice, roomie and in perfect condition

Besides all of the above, the most common SUV at National seems to be the Rendezvous. Equinox and Vue seem to be the next most popular.

Among the full-size SUVs, I'd love to get a Ranier some time. A gorgeous vehicle.

On May 13 at 11am we got a chevy trailblazer for 7 days for 139. We signed up for quick silver and had lots to choose from. I cant remember the others that were there.

WE had booked a Pontiac G6 for a May 19 rental day. But when we got to the Dolphin to pick it up, Melissa (at the counter) practically begged us to take a Rainier for the same price!! Beautiful car, wonderful ride. I usually drive a Ford Escape, so the Rainier was no big deal for me to drive, but evidently there a ton of people that didn't want them.

We had the Rainer on the 12 of may from Aalamo but I had reserved a small suv...I was wondering why it was so roomy for a small suv...lol ..oops!!! they gave it to us for the same price (172.00 for 21-20th)

That what we squished into - a take it or leave it proposition. Thank goodness there was only myself, DH & DS (who got to sit in the back seat with the luggage stacked to the ceiling beside him). The hatch space was so small our largest suitcase would only fit lying sideways. Good thing we only had 3 large ones & carryons.

They gave us a $30 credit for our trouble - whoppee!

BTW, I drive a Buick Rendezvous - w/Haunted Mansion Doom Bugy vanity plate.
