Alamo Online Check In

Hello-

I can't seem to find the answer, but sorry if it has been posted.

How does the online check in work when it says " go directly to car"? Do you get notified the day of which spot your car is in, or is there someone on the lot?

I also read you can not use a coupon with online check in, however when reserving I used a coupon and was still able to check in online.

First time using Alamo, normally a budget guy. Thanks!

i used a coupon and was able to check in aswell, so i guess no issues there.
As for the " go directly to your car", i read everywhere that you just need to go to the lot under your car category (eg. Full Size) and pick anything you like from that category. Then you Just drive off, cc and DL will be asked at the exit i think.

We used the on line check in with Alamo on two different rentals a couple of weeks ago. Once you complete the on line check in, you print out a rental document- be sure to take that with you. When you arrive at your destination, go directly to the Alamo garage/lot and find the aisle with the level of vehicle you reserved. Choose a vehicle and show your document, cc and driver's license to the attendant as you drive out the exit. If you reserved using a code that requires a membership (i.e. Costco), be sure to have that card with you as well.
