Just to clarify... if I've completed the "save-time" form for my Alamo ressie, do I still have to stop at the Kiosk, or can I just proceed to the full-size aisle and pick out my car...then check out at the booth??
Thanks in advance

Must still use the kiosk.

When using the kiosk (and just to double check, the kiosk replaces talking to someone face-to-face at the counter-correct?) how are coupons taken? I only ask b/c the Alamo online check in states that you can't check in online if you have a coupon. Do you give your reservation paperwork, etc. along with your coupon, to the person in the booth when you take the car out of the lot?

Thanks to the OP for asking about the kiosk.

We have never had to provide a physical coupon to anyone. We always have it available, but when going through the booth, we just hand them the printout from the kiosk, our license and credit card along with the hang tag from the car. I bet even if you went to the counter, you wouldn't be asked to show the coupon. It all makes the restriction of not being able to checkin online if you have a coupon kind of silly.

We rented a car from Alamo week ago and after searching everywhere inside the car, there was no hang tag. I gave attendant my ressie printout, (had no coupons so did online checkin) DL, & CC. He scanned something on the cars window. This way they can eliminate some paper by not having hang tags anymore. I'm sure National & Enterprise are both doing same thing since all same company.
Kiosk is quick and simple to use. As OP wrote, just give attendant paperwork from kiosk, DL & CC and have coupon handy just in case they want.

Thanks. I won't be using any "paper" coupons, so I think I'm all set!!
Can't wait...

I like the idea of scanning something on the actual car. We may even be the cause of this. A couple years ago we rented a car at FLL. We got in to the first car and decided we wanted a different one. So we got out and moved our stuff to a different car. I somehow picked up the hang tag from the first car and we handed that one in when leaving the garage. A day later we found the hang tag for our car on the dash. Oops.

After many calls to Alamo and Alamo calling us each day, it was never straighted out. They would call us and we would call them back and it would ring and ring and ring. We would leave a message and someone would call us back the same day and have no idea what we were talking about. They were calling us because they realized there was a problem. We finally got everything straight when we turned the car back in at MCO. They couldn't scan the car because Alamo didn't show that it was checked out. They fixed it all at the garage counter.
