Hi, I am hoping someone can confirm or deny the info I just received from an Alamo rep. I have a reservation booked for a rental in Denver. My Insider ID is noted on the reservation and I used my employers corporate ID since it is a signifigant savings. Here is the problem.... the terms and conditions of Alamo Insiders program state:
C. Alamo Insider Program Benefits
As a benefit of enrollment in the Program,
1.Access to exclusive membership deals.
2.Members will not incur an additional fee if the rental vehicle is driven by an "Additional Authorized Driver" as defined in the rental agreement
But when I add my husband as an additional driver it shows an additional charge of $59.XX. The rep told me I will be charged $9.99 per day since I did not book using the Insider ID in the ID/Corp ID box but instead used my employer corp ID. I cannot find anywhere that states I must book using the ID/Corp ID it throws in there when I login as an Alamo Insider. Does anyone know if this is indeed true? I really don't want to drive so if it is true I will have to pay the additional fee since I cannot make my husband the primary driver because I used my employers ID.
