I noticed recently that I haven't had an email from them in along while. Has it just been a slow period or is it just another thing that my provider has blocked?????

I need to start watching for a better deal on my rental.....although 2 weeks for $230 is not terrible.

the specials are on the website. I have been getting national but not alamo, soooo, I just go to the website and sign in.

Thanks....I'm still a ways out so prices are still high and I haven't seen coupons yet for 6/30 and beyond. I'll have to start stalking the Alamo site in the next few weeks.

I really prefer the emails though.....I've always managed to snag awesome deals that way. Got a mid size last spring break for $93 all in.....even the guy at the counter was surprised. That was thanks to an emailed coupon.

I have been receiving the insider emails weekly with no issues.

I've been an Insider member for at least a year and don't ever remember receiving any e-mails from them. I just stalk their website when planning my trip. Last year my rate went down at least 4 times in one day . I'm constantly watching for my trip 3/6 - 3/13. I've got an okay rate right now but I'm hoping for better !

I traveled last year just a few days later than you....I was emailed an Insider coupon for $40 off and then the rate dropped to $99 plus I got the standard 10% off. That was a such a great deal....I traveled with a friend and we split all expenses.

BTW, the rate dropped around 11pm on a Friday night approx 10 days before I was picking up the car. Lucky me....I checked on a total whim.

I would be curious to know if that works. I noticed around the end of December that there were several email subscriptions that had stopped coming....the Dis is one of them. I think my internet provider has decided it's spam and has blocked them. I guess I really should call them but I hate gonig through all that.

Thanks, I'll try it. We are going in April (after Easter) and rates are so high. We like to use Alamo, but there are better deals with Avis and Budget. When we reach this point in time, we are ready to finalize things and we are tired of daily checking the Alamo site for better rates.

Hope it works for you. I am one of those who does not finalize anything until about 2 days before I leave. I make a reservation and keep on checking and changing. I have saved a lot of money this way. Now, airfare, that's different. I usually am sort of settled on that a few months in advance, but, still check. LOL
