Has Alamo changed their MCO fleet recently? We have a standard car reserved (booked a while ago). I have been checking rates on almost a daily basis. It has always referenced Chevy Malibu or similar for the standard class. Now it references Pontiac G6. Any difference in size between those vehicles? Also, is it true that there is no Standard aisle at MCO? Will will be able to chose from the full size aisle?

Cant answer your first question about the fleet, but I'm pretty sure the answer to your second question is yes--there's no standard aisle so you select off full size. If anyone knows differently, let me know, because that's what I remember and what I'm planning to do in 10 days! :lmao:

The G6 and the Malibu are the same size car on the same GM platform with the same wheelbase. On our February trip neither car was available on the B side check-in desk, but we had a choice of a Chevy HHR or a Kia Optima and took the HHR to try something different (the Optima is also a fine rental - I've had one before).

For well over a year the price quote for a standard and a full size have always been the same. Recently I have seen different prices. I called the Alamo location at MCO and asked if they had a standard isle and was told no. I asked if I booked a standard what isle I could select from and was told I could select from the full size isle.
I also asked about some specific cars, the G6 and Malibu and was told that they could be found in either the full size or mid size isle. They would move them if they needed more cars in a specific isle.

Well that is interesting. It would seem to me that a mid-size and full-size car are not the same. I just want to make sure we are going to have enough room for our luggage and 2 car seats.
