I have a great rate through Alamo with the Costco $25 off coupon ($90.XX). The problem is, we are not members of Costco (and Sam's rates stink!). I have read that you don't need to be a member to use their rate/coupon, but I'm not sure if I want to take that chance.

Has anyone used the Entertainment contract ID and coupon and gotten a great rate? We are renting for 5 days, and would like to get the Equinox. I don't know what the Entertainment coupons are for this year. I will purchase the book if I can get a good rate with Alamo, but don't really need it for anything else.

I'm not sure if it happens each time, but we have been asked for our BJ's card on a few occasions.

When are you going? Have you checked out Alamo's website--they have a $30 online coupon for Florida rentals.

I'm not going until late August, so the coupon on Alamos site won't do me any good.

It's interesting to hear that people are asked for cards. I haven't ever been asked for a card (AMEX discount, Entertainment discount), but I am uncomfortable using the Costco discount because that would be the one time I would be asked for a card.

Someone must be using the Entertainment discount???

I got my upcoming ressie using the Entertainment card and $15.00 coupon. I leave Sunday. We got a compact for $135 for 5 days--I think that the mid-size SUV would have been about $30 more. It was much cheaper than using my Costco discount since I only wanted a compact (Costco's coupons are for mid-size and larger).

That's about $40 more than what I can get the SUV for using the Costco discount. It sounds like Entertainment doesn't give very good rates. Anyone else have a reservation using the Entertainment discount and coupon?

One of my ressies using Ent. code and coupon is $285. for 18 days.

I do..I have a Equinox reserved for May using the Entertainment Code and the coupon, and got a great rate on it when the rates were low.. :sunny:

Blueberry,

What is your rate, type of car, etc.? What was the coupon you used?

I reserved the car last week, when rates were better. It is for a Equinox which is a Mid Size SUV for one week at $91.40 for May 9-16th and used the Entertainment Code from the book and the $25 off coupon. Hope this helps some... :sunny:

Blueberry,

Thanks. The rate were much better last week. I used the Entertainment code and $15 off coupon (found info on another thread, haven't bought book yet) and my rate was over $140 for 5 days with an Equinox.

I think I will keep our Costco reservation, as well as our ME reservation. If I can't use the coupon and rate without a card, I will use ME.

6/17 for 8 days, Mid-size SUV w/Entertainment ID, rate code BYW3 & $20 coupon - DRUM ROLL....

$122.47:banana:
I initially booked w/WDW AP ID & QS in December & have changed ID's & codes @ least 6 times since.;) Good Luck to all.
