Alamo credit hold

Does anyone know how much of a credit hold Alamo will put on your cc above rental price? In the past I've been charged as much as $500 (not in Florida or with alamo) but my sister only has a small limit on her card.

The put a hold for the cost of the rental only.

Opps, actually, Alamo charges your card up front with no holds at all.
I answered using National's rule.
Dollar puts a hold on the car, can be sizeable.

It was actually dollar that we had used before. If I understand correctly even National doesn't hold anything above rental cost, but they bill you upon return not pick up like Alamo?

Yep, they are sister companies and behave like my sister and I did, LOL, one went this way, I went the other.
National at return, Alamo at pickup. Just the cost of the rental.
