Alamo Coupon / Code Combining Question

Probably a dumb question, but I'd like to make sure everything's legit with the codes & coupon to avoid any delays at pick up, so here goes...

The $15 off weekly rates coupon (code D42C) states "May not be combined with other discounts".

Along with the D42C coupon, I plugged in the walmart codes (430710 / BY), and it went right through.
This sure sounds like "combining" discounts, but Alamo's system accepted it, providing a great rate!

Has anyone "combined" discounts and if so, any problems?

I recently got a Quicksilver membership, so the low rate along with bypassing the counter is making Alamo look real good so far.

My experience with Alamo is that you can only use coupons that are from the discount code company. For example, if you are using a walmart discount code, you can only use a walmart coupon. Even though the system accepts the mismatch code/coupon, the counter agent may not honor it.
