We rented a car thru Alamo and drove ourselves to the port. My Dad dropped us all off curbside and went to return the car a short drive away. He was back in less than half an hour via free shuttle. They run as needed I assume. He did not have to wait for a full one. We also rented a car to drive back to WDW afterwards thru Alamo. We walked off the ship and right onto the shuttle, there was one other family, he didn't fill the shuttle and we were off within five minutes. Very easy.

I am glad to read this also we are doing this for the first time in September. It worked out way cheaper than a weeks parking plus DCL transport. Thank you for information.
