Can anyone tell me which "classes" of cars are lumped together in MCO?
Midsize, fullsize, standard?
standard SUV vs midsize SUV?
Luxury, premium?

I have a hard time understanding which kind of cars are in which aisle and which is better than the other.

Currently we haev a fullsize and Luxury booked ($20 difference!!) If anyone can add which cars they haev seen in Luxury I would appreciate it!!

Thank you everyone!

I just read if you book standard, you can choose from fullsize. But what about midsize lol? Is midsize a grade up from fullsize? So confused lol!

Unfortunately, no. The reason you get full size for the same as a standard is that Orlando's airport does not have an actual standard only aisle - which is why you pick from the full size aisle. BUT, what some people don't mention is that there are standard vehicles on the full size aisle. For me, in your situation, $20 difference for a luxury . . . luxury all the way!!!!! I have researched possible luxury vehicles with Alamo and the consensus is that it will be either a Cadillac XTS or Lincoln MKZ. The "or similar" language always scares me a little.

Midsize is a grade smaller or down from full size. Standard is in between, at those Alamo locations that have a Standard aisle. Like most of the car rental operations, the car descriptions for Alamo tend to be different from that used by the auto manufacturers. For example, Toyota classifies the Corolla as a Compact car (I would agree). But that and similar-sized Nissan Sentra or Hyundai Elantra are all classified as “Midsize” by Alamo. The Full-size class is a Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, or Hyundai Sonata, all of which I think of as midsize cars. I have found all of these models on the Alamo Full Size aisle at MCO at one time or another (along with some domestic models like the Chevy Cruze, but I gravitate towards these since we drive either a Honda Accord or Honda Civic at home and the competing models from Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai all strike me as offering similar size, features, and driving experience). My reservation for a Standard car lists Volkswagen Jetta or similar, so I suppose that falls between the Corolla and Camry when looking at the various choices, but always when I have reserved this class at MCO, I have chosen my car from the Full Size aisle.

Be warned while some airport are different as they have choices.... At Disney a Full size can be a Kia Soul... Years past a full size was never really a full size more of a larger midsize and a premium was a full size recently that seems to have changed -- but they will offer you an upgrade for a very reasonable per day fee. FYI a midsize is a Corolla or like...I was once offered a 2 door Altima as premium at West Palm.....they offered me a minivan for a fee -- ha in the end they gave it to me with no up charge.... I can understand the made car sizes they have but no way is that a premium.
