Yep. My state is BIG on privacy (as you must know ) and was, as far as I know, among the first to automatically assign license numbers that are not the driver's SS number. Prior to that, they'd give you a non-SS# if you requested it.

But I was stunned when the kiosk was able to get that info from my license. Big brother and all that....LOL.

On the other hand, that's information that can be expected to be magnetically coded. It's information that's readily available to anyone looking at the data on the front of the license. I genuinely DON'T believe that Massachusetts codes your social security number into your license. I'll check with the Registry in the morning. Well, some time today since it's already morning.
